Sensitive Face and CPAP

Post by Nemo48 » Fri Apr 12, 2024 2:13 pm

One of the issues I run into in wearing a CPAP is that I have a sensitive face and get occasional skin breakouts. I wear a full face mask because I am a mouth breather and have opted for the AirTouch F20 with memory foam. Generally it does not cause the same kinds of issues that the silicone mask did, but I still tend to get an itchy face and occasional skin breakouts. I can live with it, but am curious if any of you have the same face skin sensitivity issue and any solutions you have discovered to avoid itchy skin when wearing the mask. Thank you for any tips you may have.

I bought a pair of Snugz full-face mask liners. Anyone reading this have experience with this brand? We'll see how it goes, and I'll report back.

That's about all you can do. Trial and error.

There are 29 reviews here, but IMO, most of the reviews are useless. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/snugz-cpap-mask-liners

Yes, most reviews are useless, and as the saying goes: "Your Mileage May Vary" I'm perfectly okay with trial and error to see what works best for me. I went thru three CPAP masks before finding one that was okay.

trial and error
That's the way the human race started. Starting in Genesis 2:18, God uses trial and error to find a suitable helper for Adam. :D
