It's not fixed. I had that same message no less than a half a dozen times this morning within the 2 hours I have been online.
Sometimes it takes multiple times clicking on the "retry" to get it to finally load.

I've had it eat an entire post, crashing back to Board Index.

I've taken to copying my post to Clipboard before hitting Submit or Preview.

Is this not a sponsored platform? Are we red-headed stepchildren here? Time to complain to cpap dot com.

Addr: cpap@cpap.com
Subj: Problems with your sponsored forum cpaptalk

Hello. I'm a user of cpaptalk dot com... I understand you're a sponsor of the forum. I'm also a long-term customer of your company and a fellow Texan.

We're having problems with the server on the forum... sometimes it takes three tries to post a post or reply... sometimes it crashes and the reply is lost. Also the storage space for pictures is gone, we have to post links to pictures... this has been going on for a while, but the worst problem is the access problem.

I believe it reflects badly on your company to have this website forum not be well-kept and up-to-date. There is a vibrant and active community on there and I'd hate to see it wither due to neglect.

Is there anything we can do as users to help? Are funds running out? Should we start taking donations?

Thanks for your time.
__
Yours under pressure,
xxxxx

Time to complain to cpap dot com.

That's already been done. More than once.
The owners are working on it or rather escalated the problem to whomever does their IT.

I mentioned this earlier in this thread. Did you miss it?

Just for the record: I was locked out again this a.m.

My biggest worry is that we are discouraging people from getting advice here as they confront the connection difficulties and the attachment difficulties. Pugsy, I'm sure you're concerned about this too and doing your utmost to get the changes we need. Let us know if there's anything the rest of us can do to help.

I have seen the same message (I posted a screen shot of it above) no less than a half a dozen times already this morning.

Last night was so bad I couldn't get online for about an hour and I thought maybe they were working on it....so I went to bed with my fingers crossed last night.....no luck.

We had this problem with my company's sales/support website... the hosting company told us 'you just need to buy more bandwidth'. I told them I wanted a complete report on site traffic for the last month, our customers were not able to access our site to buy or download.

Upshot was they found some offshore bots scraping our site like 8000 hits/day... we had them block this. Ended up finding some more offenders and blocking them... also throttling normal users to 10 requests per minute, that's reasonable I think. Site really jumps to it now, we did not have to pony up any more money. Just had to hold their feet to the fire... we really were considering changing hosting companies.

Second attempt... I'm pretty good at saving my post before hitting Send now, forum's just eating them now. Ludicrous.

You folks have way more patience than I.
The problem is nearly a month old, and no solution?
Is the sponsor too busy--or circling the drain?
Pity.

The root cause of the forum problems is because CPAP.com and the Goodmans have become absentee landlords.

Whenever there are technical issues, it takes weeks just to get their attention (if at all). Then weeks for them to escalate it to their technical team (if at all). Then weeks to address (if at all).

This is unfair to pugsy and all members who spend time volunteering, writing posts to help others just to have a post lost upon clicking submit.

And some documentation here:

viewtopic/t188341/Uncle.html
that would be me.

a couple sentences to vent frustration goes through fine but 4-5 paragraphs to introduce myself (newbie) and ask for assistance has never gone though - even immediately before that post and reply.

I get this error message:

Access denied
