Thanks to all of your responses. I just last week raised my pressure from 9 to 9.8 and actually slept for almost 8 hrs which is very abnormal for me. I was titrated at the hospital during my sleep study and they perscribed me at a pressure of 9 which wasn't enough and using the Resmed s8 series howeer it was set at straight Cpap and not Auto. How mcuh sleep is sufficient?
I have a question. They say the normal average adult should sleep at least 8 hrs but I very seldom sleep that much.
I normally sleep between 5.5 and 6.5. Is that truly not enough, medically?

It takes a lot of adjusting to therapy. From dry mouth to not feeling like your breathing right to a sore nose and maybe even a still back. There is alot of advice out here for any particular problem you may incur starting therapy. I have had the sore nose, dry mouth and face, and even a stiff back....

I just wanted to thank everyone out there for their knowledge and advice. I have been on CPAP for 5 weeks and last week, (thanks to you guys) I increased my pressure from 9.0 to 9.8 and have not felt tired enough during the day to want to nap.
