Thanks to all of your responses. I just last week raised my pressure from 9 to 9.8 and actually slept for almost 8 hrs which is very abnormal for me. I don't know when I'm dreaming, but I do not that they are not good dreams. I can remember 2 to 3 differenct one per night sometimes. I was actually going to mention it to my doctor. The dreams that I do remember are troublesome in some way or another, never anything good.

Does that mean something?

How mcuh sleep is sufficient?

I have a question. They say the normal average adult should sleep at least 8 hrs but I very seldom sleep that much.

I normally sleep between 5.5 and 6.5. Is that truly not enough, medically?

I didn't have dizziness however a feeling of being very off balance. As though I was leaning towards one side.

I didn't have that with the nose mask or the ff, only with the nasal.

It takes a lot of adjusting to therapy. From dry mouth to not feeling like your breathing right to a sore nose and maybe even a still back. There is alot of advice out here for any particular problem you may incur starting therapy. I have had the sore nose, dry mouth and face, and even a stiff back....

Welcome! I am also new to Cpap, about 5 weeks now. You will get used to it, I promise. I have woken up a few times thinking it wasn't working but it was actually because I am getting used to it. At first it feels like too much air is coming in and you have a hard time breathing out but you do have t...

I have always been fit and gained 17 lbs in the year before I was diagnosed with OSA.

I have read the OSA throws off chemicals in your brain that lead to weight gain.

I personally think it's a little too much to have to even think about taping your mouth shut using a FF mask. I currently us the Mirage Ultra full face mask and when my mouth opens while I'm sleeping, the unGodly noise wakes me with the seal flapping against my face. Much worse when I'm on my back. ...
