Autoscan 5.7 software?

Post by ZBQ » Sun Apr 15, 2007 6:47 pm

Where can I find this software? I read something to the effect that Resmed is not making it anymore? Can you use a different software package with the S8 Elite?

I really want to have more data and be able to read it myself with out having to take the card to the RT to have him print it out.

You can reply here, PM me or e-mail me hnz@raodrunner.com

Thanks,
Neil

Neil,

Check viewtopic.php?t=18208&highlight=autoscan for some compiled information re: Autoscan, then post here if you have any further questions or if you find any of the information inaccurate/outdated. You may want to check several Australian vendors, as I understand that the price for the software may vary somewhat.

Jim....can you give me any instructions on how to operate the autoscan software. I have a card reader and can get the summary info up but I can't figure out how to get any meaningful info. I know there is more info on the card other than how many AHIs and the median and maximum pressure a shown in bars for each night.

On the left-hand side of your view screen -- about the fifth button down -- that will give you your nightly data ... then you can use the tag button to go from night to night.

Not sure what other data you are looking for if that is not it. Is there something specific you are looking for?

In the tool bar at the top of the page, click on Help. The entire manual for the software is included in Help.

Across the top of the first page are tabs for Usage Profile, Statistics, Patient Details, Patient Notes. Click on any one of them.

Or to the left of each page the fifth button down gives you a graph of the Nightly Profile, the sixth button down gives you a bar graph of the Treatment Profile.

In the tool bar, click on File, scroll down to Print Summary Preview at any page you are on.

Try the Export option in the File menu on any page. Then check where that export data is on your 'puter and read it.

Use the Help in the tool bar and learn how to navigate thru the software pages and data.

They are making it, they are just doing their best to prevent its being sold to patients.

We do not publicly tell patients where they might be able to buy the software and card reader because it could cost the seller their ability to purchase and resell Resmed xPAPs due to Resmed's new pricing and selling policy instituted 01 Oct 2006.

The instructions above should get you what you need. If you need further information, post again here. It is possible to export files in .CSV (comma separated variable) format and process it via a spreadsheet; this is a fairly involved process, but you end up being able to connect pressures with events minute by minute for each night, and can manipulate the data from there.

Thanks...I guess I need to print out the damn 60 page instruction manual and read it. I spent a couple of hours surfing trying to get something meaningful. I am sure I pushed every possible window, tab, etc so it's going to take a little reading I guess because I know I am missing a lot of information. I get nothing that tells about events or graphs showing ups and downs of the treatment at different pressures....just stupid bar graphs showing the summary of each night.....meaning the 95% point, the highest point and the median point.

red dots = apnea events
numbers = duration of the apnea events

Just read the help on the software ... splains it all
