This is a great machine - I use it as my everday machine and also travel with it. It is very quiet and great value at less than $300 in this site. It comes with a small shoulder bag and I can fit the machine, my mask and my hose all in the small bag. Very easy to travel with. I highly recommend it.

Mouth Guard

I am a teeth clencher in my sleep - and since CPAP I clench even more to make sure my mouth stays closed against the pressure. I got my dentist to make a night guard for me - not the hard plastic type which I couldn't stand. It is a softer one like a sports mouth guard. Maybe that would help to alle...

I bought it because everyone raves about it and I did not like it. I still don't but I am using it because it is the best seal of the many, many masks I have tried. I find that it can move and then the mask cushion is up aqgainst the openning of your nose and you feel like you are not getting enough...

I experimented for hours and hours (using all the different adjustments) and could not get it to seal at all. It is a total piece of crap. I may as well have flushed $100 down the toilet!

Resmed Vista Mask and Respironics Simplicity

Some of you will remember that I am on a quest to find a mask that I like, that is comfortable and that is not bulky. I just tried 2 more - one I purchased and one my DME purchased. The Simplicity was a piece of crap. I was completely impossible to get a seal. it leaked massively. The Vista was a li...

My understanding is that during your titration study the sleep tech tests various pressures for periods of time and then usually the doctor recommends the lowest pressure that will keep you breathing and stop most of your apneas. If the pressure were too low then it may not stop all the apneas and i...

Go to the pharmacy and ask if they have SinusCleanse. It is a tiny little teapot with sachets of ultra fine salt. You put the sachet into the pot, add warm water and stir. You then tilt the head and pour half in one side and half in the other. I do it in the shower each day and in the short time I h...

Simplicity Mask

Thanks to Iddemery and Windflyer for their comments. I would love to hear from anyone else who has used the Simplicity Mask.

What did you like about it? What didn't you like about it?

All feedback will be greatly appreciated.

I clench my teeth in my sleep and since CPAP I clench harder - I guess subconciously to make sure I don't get mouth leaks. I just chipped a corner off a crown. I got a night guard a week ago to protect my teeth.

Activa

I want to reiterate again that the mask experience is completely personal. I bought the Activa because everyone recommends it but like Lana, I do not like it at all. I think it is a lot of trial and error till you find one that works for you - and unfortunately with the cost of masks that really suc...

Activa

I have to say that the experience of masks is a very personal thing. I have been searching for the best mask for me and finally got the Activa because it gets so many great reviews from other users. I am sorry to report that I am not finding it to be all that great. For my preference it is just too ...

First night with Activa

Although I had been trying to find a smaller mask that might work for me (one that didn't obscure vision and cover a lot of face) I finally gave in and got the Activa since everyone recommends it. Last night was my first night. I liked it. It didn't leak all night like the Prfile Lite. However, what...

Hi Judith I have only been on CPAP for 9 weeks so there are people here with much more experience. I have severe apnea (AHI 83). What I can tell you is that I did a lot of research before I decided to tell my doc about my apnea and finally get help for it. When I went for the sleep study I knew from...
