Well, several folks have suggested that if you put a piece of the mesh that fruit often comes in into the tube between the hose and the main part of the mask, it cuts the noise to almost nothing.

So you might try that, if the noise is all that's bothering you.

Liam, the fruit. Oh, wait, comments like that could get me into trouble.

That and comments about Al Gore....

Anyway Liam, thanks for the suggestion... I did make some attempts with some super porous filter material and although I did detect a very slight change, I didn't get "snork's" miracle cure. Maybe I'll mess around with it some more.

Just never look down the barrel to see if it's loaded.

Or when you're loaded.

Or something.

Liam, who has been target shooting "peeps" with his hose again.

Hi,
I regularly switch off between the Activa and the Swift. I have used both for quite some time now and like them both. Have also used the Breeze, a Profile Gel and a Resmed precursor to the Activa which I forget the name of!

My setting is 16. The Swift DOES make a little more noise, but does not keep me awake any longer than the Activa or the Breeze. The Activa blocks more of your "view" but fits SO nicely and no leaks no matter how I move around! The Swift is okay for laying on the side opposite the hose, but is uncomfortable when laying on the hose side. The Activa hose attaches to the front and is only a potential problem if you are a belly sleeper!

Everyone is different, but I don't think you'd go wrong with either one. The only caution I would advise is if Nasal Pillows in your nose would be a problem, as they did take some getting used to for me!

Good Luck!
Gary

Thanx everyone for your help.

Having weighed up your comments I'm going to go for the Activa which I think will be the best for what I need.

Cheers,

Gregg
