Sounded like it would be very interesting, but alas, only the first 100 words were free. Would have to buy the article ($10) or become a paid subscriber to the New England Journal of Medicine to read the whole thing.

Free, Register, and Pay News Websites
Howdy,
Sorry for the few hour delay in posting, I'm fresh in from Medtrade.
This is something we've looked at before, but it's pretty hard to make a computer figure out when something is "must register", "must pay" for "free for all". For that reason, it's up to humans like the Titrator to catch and delete these links if they are pay. Now and again, humans miss. I'll nuke it after I post this.
For the pay websites, I can't help you. For the "must register" there's a cool website that was featured on slashdot.org a while back. It's http://www.bugmenot.com/ and basically you enter the URL of the website that wants you to register, and it'll give you a user/pass for the website.

For anyone who read those first hundred words of the article and wonders if cpap or wearing a cpap mask was responsible for causing the man's plight - no, it wasn't. In addition to a history of blood clots in his legs and other problems, he had a brain tumor which was the cause of his seizure that night and was successfully operated on. Near the end of the article there was this:
A Physician: Do you believe that the development of venous thrombosis and sleep apnea in the patient were related to his brain tumor?
Dr. O'Neill: I do not believe that the sleep apnea was related to his brain tumor, but there is a markedly elevated risk of deep venous thrombosis in patients with brain tumors, in addition to the risk associated with the factor V Leiden mutation.
(And yes, /. is a cool site.)
