Hallucinatory Sleep Disorder vs. Night Terrors

Hi Everyone, I need some guidance. I have severe obstructive sleep apnea so I am well aware how serious sleep disorders can be. I am convinced that my mother has a sleep disorder but I think it's either night terrors or hallucinatory sleep problems............most likely the latter one. I almost hav...

I am 52 and have been on CPAP for six months. I usually get a good night's sleep in six hours and since CPAP am now dreaming. Sometimes I do remember my dreams. I still get up once in the night most nights to use potty. Occasionally can make it through the whole night though. I used to take an exced...

Thanks, everyone. All of your hints were helpful. The last two nights have been better. Keeping it ridiculously loose and also not using the ramp were definitely the things I needed to do.

Thanks again!

Does anyone have trouble adjusting to the activa?

Hi, I've read so many positive posts about the mirage activa so I bought one a few days ago. Has anyone had trouble adjusting to this mask? I was so excited about getting it and now am having trouble adjusting to it. Before now I was switching back and forth between the mirage full face and the nasa...

Hi, I, too, am anxious to read replies on this one. I have the same problem. I have a very small chin and my FF mask leaks at the bottom whenever I move or even slightly move my mouth. I have to keep it on tight to keep from leaking and then I have marks on my face every morning and a very sore nose...

I have been on CPAP since the end of August. I felt really good for about the first five weeks, then had a major setback. Turns out it was my mask. I had to go from a nasal mask to a full face mask. I am feeling better again. Although, I still count on one really bad day a week at work where I can't...

I only get rainout when I use a nasal mask. When I use my full face mask, all is dry.

Good luck figuring it out. I think this whole game is trial and error anyway!

I've definitely noticed an improvement. I am a teacher and by now I usually have missed several days due to sinus infections or bronchitis. Have only missed a half day so far and that was due to an allergy flareup. There have been two times since school started that I started getting a sore throat a...

I'm getting ready to change DMEs. Get this.....mine gave me the wrong machine to begin with! Not the one the doctor ordered. THEN, only a couple of weeks ago, after being on CPAP for two months and struggling to get things right, I found out they had even given me the wrong mask! Not only was it not...

Thanks Judy, I think I'm going to have to see the doctor soon. I wasn't supposed to go back until December but am encountering too many problems. I've used the comfort gel mask but after a few weeks, it began to leak too much. Then they put me on the Ultra mirage full face mask because they thought ...

That's what I thought, too, David, but it is possible to breathe through your mouth and not know it. I had that problem and my blood pressure starting rising again and some of the symptoms started returning. It turned out I was breathing through my mouth. UNBELIEVABLE! Keep checking out things and e...
