It is by far the best I have ever tried.
I highly recommend it.
Sweet dreams,

SNAPP Mask

Post by Paul » Sun Oct 10, 2004 10:36 pm

I have been using it for 2 nights and I am still undecided. I have been on CPAP for 6 weeks. I was using a profile lite mask which covered the nose. I like the fact that SNAPP doesn't.

However, it covers all the skin between the nose and lip and whatever it is made from makes me sweat there - my mask didn't. Also, I find the Y shape of the tube configuration difficult. In the over the head position one tube is in the way when I am on my side. In the down position I feel like I have drag on the nose piece.

I also woke up at one point and felt a little sore in one nostril where the bellows enter the nose a little.

I am going to give it a few more nights. Definitely nice not to have my whole nose covered and my vision obscured but we will see.

question for Paul

Hi Paul,

I realize masks are very individual preferences and fits, but was curious - did you still feel the same about the Snapp after using it a few more times? I've held off trying that one. Looked interesting, but the more I thought about it...I decided to buy others more likely to suit me. Just wondered if it got any better for you?

SNAPP Mask

Actually I have given up on the SNAPP. It just wasn't comfortable for me. I now have a Respironics Comfort Lite on order. It comes with 2 interchangable interfaces-nasal pillows and a small mask that looks a little like the simplicity. I hope to get it next Monday or Tuesday and will let you know how it goes.
