Resmed S8 Information

Post by hoodedknight » Tue Oct 19, 2004 1:35 pm

My sources tell me that the S8 will be half the size of the S7 or Autoset Spirit.
Resmed is dropping the front end attached humidifier and going with a Respiroinics style heated humidifier with the chamber tank at the front.

The new S8 has a cflex type feature. I haven't heard what it is called but it is the same type of relief on exhale.

In the near future the entire cpap, bipap, auto-cpap will be smaller.

There will be different tiers of models. One will be the basic and one the deluxe. The upper end models will have a built in smartcard reader and smartcard. They will be able to read Pa02, like the ResLink does now.

This is all very cool for all,

The hoodedknight will post more when the information leaks out.
