Re: Finally an answer to my Problems?

I recently has an MRI and it showed Sinusitis. Which specialist did the MRI? If it was an ENT, your question should be addressed to her. This may or may not be recent but I can say I have had a clogged nose ever since my teens ...Could this be causing or at least exacerbating my apneas and be a maj...

Finally an answer to my Problems?

Hey folks that remember me. I recently has an MRI and it showed Sinusitis. This may or may not be recent but I can say I have had a clogged nose ever since my teens and I would always wake up with the bed sweating. Snoring loudly etc. Even now when I got to bed I use the full face mask because my no...

Re: I'm back, I'm insane, and I am ok

Thank you Colomom and Robbysue! I may have to go back on meds, but I will give my strategies a college try before doing that. But now, like you mention, I have a plan to do the best for me and keep safe and happy. :D

Re: I'm back, I'm insane, and I am ok

Some people get the urge to go to bed to escape their depression when it hits. I wouldn't blame myself for that urge; I would just file it under recognizable and logical reaction to a sensation. You seem self-aware enough that I hope you get good benefit from talking things out with a pro. But it's...

Re: I'm back, I'm insane, and I am ok

I am doing much better now What did you do that made you "better"? Spending time in a mental hospital. I was on Zyprexa for a month and a half, and my sleepiness/fatigue all but went away. Or at least any worry about it. Unfortunately, I couldn't tolerate other side effects and had to get off. And ...

I'm back, I'm insane, and I am ok

I don't have hypersomina or Narcolepsy. I was mis-diagnosed. It was confirmed that it was a mis-diagnosis and that my bipolar depression caused the intense fatgiue, but NOT sleepiness. I am doing much better now :D

Re: billymadison Update (CPAP/Hypersomnia)

It really took me some time to read most of your previous posts on the forum since English is not my first language and there are many medical terms and abbreviations that I have to look up one by one lol I am very surprised that it seems our experience is very similar! I used to be a very energeti...

Re: billymadison Update (CPAP/Hypersomnia)

Posting an update.

It really has gotten progressively worse since May. I am really in rough shape. Even with 20 MG adderall i can barely work from home or get out of bed. I may be in a Clinical Trail for a drug called Wakix, for Idiopathic Hypersomnia, though. So that's good news.

Re: billymadison Update (CPAP/Hypersomnia)

Many thanks for the links; I learned a lot. And one thing I can see is how little we know about hypersomnia. This makes your efforts to get effective treatment for your condition all the more challenging. My hat's off to you for persevering, especially given all the barriers that the condition itse...

Re: billymadison Update (CPAP/Hypersomnia)

I totally agree about the multi-disciplinary approach, however. On my blood tests, the rheumatoid markers were clean/negative. Interestingly enough my Pectus Excavatum can sometimes be related to Connective Tissue disorders, some of which have Hypersomnia included. But the Neuro didn't feel the res...

Re: billymadison Update (CPAP/Hypersomnia)

I'm glad you got to spend some time with a neurologist who appears to be thoughtful. In these days of very specialized medicine, I wonder whether you'd benefit from seeing several other specialists, e.g., a cardiologist to explore potential effects of your chest anatomy and a rheumatologist to run ...
