Dry Mouth

I have been using a Mirage Quattro FFM for the past four years. My AHI normally does not exceed 1.5. My mask has always had high large leaks and the "mask farts" are so loud they wake my neighbors as well as my self. My wife moved in with a neighbor 3 houses away to get away from the noise! Three mo...

Re: PR System 1 filters popping out

My filter started popping out after 4 years of use, the machine that is, not the filter. I get a new machine this year so I am just leaving it out. I was more worried that my cat might eat it.

BrokenGL versus OpenGL

Just finished downloading 9.8.01. There are two exe. files, opengl and brokengl. What is the difference? Which should I use? I am using Windows 7 Home Premium.

I cannot imagine that this question has not arisen previously but I could not find it. Sorry for any redundancy.

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.

4 years on "the machine"! AHI from 20 to 46, 3 sleep studies, 2 sleep doctors, many mask, wife moved out, neighbors moved out, very loud noises, big leaks, lots of questions, many self adjustments to pressures, lots of leg cramps, downloading to Sleepy Head several times a week. About a month ago, m...

Update Inspire Therapy

To all whom have responded::I did not pass the candidacy test,I will not be a lab rat!!!! My O2 level was 90--91 was minimal. I am able to keep the mask on for more than 4 hours, My AHI was in the single digits even though it double digits occasionally for no reason at all, and I am not sleepy durin...

Re: Inspired Therapy

Pugsy-Yes I definitely would be interested. I am breathing through my nose, I think, most of the time. The Pad-a-Cheek tends to cover my mouth and I think helps keep it shut so I am use to air up my nose.

Re: Inspired Therapy

Pugsy I started out with full face because I was a mouth breather. In trying to become a nose breather, I tried a full face that went under my chin and was suppose to keep my mouth closed--didn't work. I have used chin straps and even went so far as to duct tape my mouth. I finally had deviated sept...

Re: Inspired Therapy

Julie

Forgot to mention that I had deviated septum and turbinate reduction surgery June 23, 2013--sure helped my breathing but did not fix the leaks.

Re: Inspired Therapy

Julie---Where do I start? I have been on Bpap since 2011. I have had 3 sleep studies, the most recent this past May because I changed sleep doctors. My original study on 11-1-11 indicated I had an Apnea of 36 and the tech informed me that he almost put a mask on me, but he did not. The doctor put me...

Re: Inspired Therapy

49er-Thanks for your insight. The MRI issue is a problem although I have only had two of them in 72 years. I understand that todays Pacemakers are immune to MRI and there is a probability that this technology will eventually apply to this device. Right now, I would rather get a good nights sleep tha...

Inspired Therapy

Has anyone had, or know anyone that has, the Inspired Therapy implant? I went to a seminar last night that was moderated by one of our areas leading sleep doctors and an ENT, also highly respected. The implant is made by the same company that makes the Pacemaker and uses the same principles. The mod...

Pugsy
Thanks for your reply-I will give it a try.
Palerider-The 9.8 downloaded to my desktop but I could not find the exe. file or any file to install. Hopefully with Pugsy's information I will be successful.

Up loading new software

I have been plugging along, fat, dumb and happy, downloading my machine to 0.9.3 software that I installed way back when I first learned of Sleepyhead and this chat room. I have only recently returned to the chat room after a long absence. I saw that Sleepy head is now at 0.9.8.1. I tried downloadin...
