Cpap and ear (infections)

I've had an ear infection in my left ear. Two different anti biotics have helped some but it's pesky. I I coincdentally had my one year check up at the sleep center so mentioned it and she said it's not Cpap relate. My general doctor didn't Agree. Said it can't be ruled out. I'm on 14 pressure on Cp...

Darth Vader noise!

The Darth Vader noise is bugging me. This summer, I ran a fan when sleeping that masked the Darth Vader noise...now that it's winter, I get cold if that fun is on but man, that hose/breathing noise is distracting until you knock off. I'm guessing I'll get used to it or find another white noise to ma...

We had power outage this morning....

The power was out this morning when I woke up...i reached and hit the button to turn the CPAP machine back on and nothing...so i stirred and about then the power went out...I restarted the machine and away I drifted back to sleep. Seemed like 1 minute. Turns out the power was out from :38 after the ...

Re: What Is Your Favorite Full Face Mask

I started with the Simplus, size Medium. It's what I had used at my titration. When i started having some rash issues I tried the Fit F10. Sizing indicated a medium but it felt too small to me. So I tried a Large. Now it felt too big but I had used up my one exchange on that "window" with the DME so...

Re: Waking with headache that goes away quickly

at 14, i've had to strap the mask straps on tighter then I like. I will try to con side that as well. Not sure what solutions there are but I have two different mask brands/headgear setup. A simplus medium and a Fit F10 large (i'm in between sizes in the F10 it appear, large is too big but better th...

Re: Waking with headache that goes away quickly

I've got a pretty basic CPAP machine, not sure what I can do settings wise. Thanks for the input.

Re: Waking with headache that goes away quickly

I'm at 14.

One of my theories is when i sleep on my side maybe the pillow is covering the vent hole or something? Longshot but I'm having trouble figuring it out.

Waking with headache that goes away quickly

I woke up a couple of times while sleeping with painful headaches. After waking and noticing the headache (I should note I'm a day sleeper lately due to routine), I noted a very dry mouth. (I use a full face mask, mouth breather here I'm told and it's obviously true) I took care of that getting that...

Re: What is the quietest cpap?

I noticed the Darth Vader noise last night for the first time. All summer I had a big fan on low and it masked the Cpap/Darth Vader noise. Last night it was too cool to use the fan. It bothered me for awhile. I couldn't believe how loud it was. It sounded like to me it was coming out of the machine....

Re: I lost my SD card last night....

I guess I should've gone and got an SD card faster if this mattered to me. But I know the Cpap machine did give me information on the menu on the actual machine (very limited of course). When I bought the SD card, I just assumed the card would somehow end up with the information on there. I opened u...

Re: I lost my SD card last night....

none of the 8 nights of data ended up on the new SD card...it didn't "go onto the card" I guess. I know the machine still had data, I'd look at it on the limited screen just to see how the AHI went the night before and the leaks etc. So I know the machine seemed to record the data, but when I import...

Re: I lost my SD card last night....

I bought a new SD card after about 8 days, figuring the other one really is lost. It works fine...the 8 days of data when I didn't have an SD card in the slot on the machine didn't go onto the new card. Is that normal? Other then that thanks for the advice, all working well again. I went back to the...

I lost my SD card last night....

I lost my SD card, in my apartment. I took it out of the computer after importing the data to sleepyhead to see what was going on with therapy with the new F10 air fit mask odyssey I'm on. I went from a medium to a large. The large feels like a helmet instead of a mask, but the medium felt too small...

Re: CPap to Bipap? side issues (masks).

Thanks for your replies. I had a person tell me that my machine showed a lot of unsecured OSA's and to get Auto BiPap on the table. My sleep doctor poo-poo'd it and told me to quit scoreboard watching. That my therapy was good. I've had A LOT OF LEAKS according to the software. The 27 AHI was scores...

CPap to Bipap? side issues (masks).

I have a few side issues. I'll try to keep it brief. But first off, I'm on Cpap and my quality of sleep has improved a lot (AHI was 101 in sleep study). Some nights are better then others (my 2 hour nap scored a 27 AHI last week, I blame the "new" mask the DME gave me, I'm switching back but to the ...
