Re: Mold in CPAP Humidifier Tank
I'm sure this has been answered before, but I can't find it right now. And it might be relevant to this question. What's the difference between "distilled" water and "processed" (RO, etc) drinking water? Why isn't the 25 cents a gallon water from the grocery story machine good enough for my CPAP? Ed

Re: cpap in the summer tips
It's hard to use the cpap mask in the winter with everything on my face. Now the weather is getting warmer, looking for tips to make it easier instead of turning on the air condition all the time to keep cool. I thought I can turn off the humidifier in the summer, so leave the humidifier tank empty...

Re: CPAP torture
So very sorry your first CPAP experience was torture! I wasn't on CPAP back then, but I've done a bit of research and I do know it's changed significantly since then. Also, much will depend on your doctor and DME, who tend to simply tell you "this is what you need" - it's rare to get a doctor and DM...

F10 leaking around elbow?
Is it plausible for the Resmed F10 to leak around the seal where the elbow clicks into the mask?
Or am I hearing and feeling air from vents in the elbow itself?
Just seemed really loud at 3 am this morning! More than I remember.

Re: New Old Guy Here
There's a difference to the body between needing to sleep and just needing to rest. If your body's "sleep tank" is full, then you're just going to lay there in twilight, or even just awake and eyes closed. I get a lot of "CA" events then too. I think I've read (and others please feel free to correct...

Amara View small cushion??
Would anyone happen to have a small cushion for the Amara View they would part with?
(New preferred, but gently used would be okay).
I've got a medium right now, and it's just not fitting well.

Re: Respironics DreamWear Gel Nasal pillow mask review thread
My wife's first mask was the AirFit P10. The pillows weren't the issue - it was the headgear. Now she uses the Dreamwear - fits a lot better. Could go to the DME and find out what size she had on the P10. But if I had to order two of the pillows, I'd be just as good if I ordered the whole Fit Pack. ...

Re: Respironics DreamWear Gel Nasal pillow mask review thread
At the CPAP.com link , it specifically states you get one item at one size. And warranty returns only. I didn't see anywhere to purchase any kind of return insurance. So if you get the wrong size, you just have to spend more money and hope you can sell the previous one? Or spend $70 more for the fit...

For those who already have the Dreamwear - do they sell just the pillows insert separate?? Or do you have to buy a whole new kit and caboodle?

Re: review of sleep trackers
Dr Winter did make a good point about the "sleep trackers" - the only sure way to know a person's sleep state is by brain waves. So until they add a skull cap of some kind, everything else is best-guess approximations.

Re: One month in and still tired
Once CPAP is able to take care of the apnea awakenings, the other reasons for poor sleep begin to float to the surface. Unfortunately, CPAP seems to have gotten labeled as the "sleep superhero" - get one of these and all sleep issues are cured! Sorry - it only works on the apneas.

Another vote for the quick disconnects on the F10, F20, and Amara View.
I currently have the F10 and the View, and they both work well.
You may want to look at the F20, though.
The straps connect to the mask by magnet; much easier than the F10 or the View.
