Re: Dry eyes ALL day?
Hi SleepingUgly, I am following your posts because I also have UARS and trying to sieve out the wisdom from this site that applies to me. In regard to dry eyes, let me advance a theory that few people seem to acknowledge at this board. A little background: Your eyes are connected to your nasal pass...

Re: ReScan time change
Thanks everyone, time was incorrect clinic menu Do any DMEs bother to set the time? My machine came two time zones off. Mine was an hour off when I got it home, it was still on daylight savings time. You would think that the DME would at least check it before handing them over to the patient. They ...

Re: Who reports compliance to the insurance company?
My DME has never asked to see my machine or any data from it since I got it in late December so I doubt they are responsible for reporting anything in my case. I have had one follow up with the sleep doctor and they downloaded the data, reviewed it with me, made an adjustment and wanted to see me ag...

Re: Dislike?
Like...not really, dislike...sometimes, need...absolutely. My wife described my many episodes of no breathing or gasping for air but other than being tired all the time and getting up several times a night to use the bathroom I didn't really notice. Then I started waking up more and more often with ...

Re: how can I lower my AHI?
Hi- I am still a newbie trying to figure this all out, and so many of you have already been helpful on my other posts in getting me started. I am finally getting a bit of control over my leak rate with my Liberty mask and would now like to see my AHI numbers come down. Last night, my leak was only ...

Re: newly diagnosed and confused
Hello all, I am a newly diagnosed person who is currently awaiting the call from my DME about my equipment. I am hesitant to go because after reading some of the posts, I do not want the DME to take advantage of me and set me up with inferior equipment. I am not afraid to speak up and ask for the "...

Re: Dry eyes ALL day?
I don't want to blame all my new problems on CPAP. My eyes tend to be dry, but they have been drier than ever. I would think if caused by CPAP, the dryness would be mainly in the morning and would bounce back to baseline during the day; however, they are dry all day long. Is CPAP the culprit? Here ...

Re: Eye Problems From Xpap?
Thanks for the replies. Well I went and saw the eye doctor this afternoon and I have a Vitreous Detachment in my left eye and he said there is nothing that can be done for it, that it will eventually fix itself over time. He did say that my eyes are pretty dry (some of being the CPAP) and gave me a ...

Eye Problems From Xpap?
I am trying to figure out if my xpap has anything to do with my eyes having a problem focusing the last few days, it started last week but was fine yesterday now its back today. I am starting to get the best results I have ever had, last night was pressure 15.8, 7:52 hrs/min, leaks .26 l/s, AHI 3.4,...

Re: When am I going to feel better?
My prescribed pressure is pretty low - only 6. My doctor, who I love, said that even though my apnea is very severe (89.9), the pressure of 6 fixed it - I had a split study. I don't think I'm losing air through the mouth - I am a jaw clencher! I just want a mask that is: comfortable easy to breathe...

Re: new to cpap, help!!
I 've been diagnosed with Sleep apnea recently and have been using A CPAP machine for a month. I have tried a Respironics Comfort GEl full face and one of the Res Med full face masks and I found them to be a nightmare! I cannot sleep at all because of the continuous air leaks no matter how much I t...

Re: worried 142 apnea per hour

Since I had my results sent to my primary physician all I had to do was call them and they made me a copy w/o any problem. You should be able to do the same...
