How low dId you go?

Post by CPAP_DAD6 » Wed Jun 15, 2016 10:37 am

During my sleep test, my oxygen saturation level went down to 58% , which my doc said was deadly dangerously low.

Just wandering what ev1 O2 went down to during theit sleep study? Just want to compare.

Not sure what that was, but in any case the great majority of us had some desats on testing, some high, low and in between, some for long periods of time and some short, some had lots, others only a couple, and tested at very many different facilities as well as home. SO, throw all that together with any given ONE person's entire medical history and you come up with exactly nothing that would matter to YOU. Meaningless and pointless to chase random symptoms of anyone on the net unless you're their identical twin (and even they can have points of differing physiology) living in the same conditions at the same time in their lives, etc. etc. Waste of your time!

Mine went down that low too and it had my doctor gasping "How come you are still here?"
About a year after I got my cpap I ended up in ER hooked up to all the bells & whistles and When I dozed off, sitting up, my SPO2 dropped into the 70's.

I am NEVER EVER sleeping without my cpap machine - not going to happen.

When my O2 level dropped to 63% they put me on supplemental oxygen. I had been sleeping with oxygen for almost a year prior to my tests. I have not had to use oxygen since starting treatment.

Mine also went down to 58%, I wonder if this is some kind of conspiracy going on with so many people recording the same number

I dropped all the way down to 80% but my average below 90% was 87.5%.

The issue I had involved the 25 spikes in pulse rate with some going to 147% of my average pulse.

My issue is arousals.

Hmm I think the above comments are a total waste of YOUR time. I was simply interested in seeing how common that low of a reading was. Seeing that this is a Cpap talk board, I figured It was a good place to ask. So besides your useless comments, I got 8 responses actually answering my question, not berating it. Thanks for the babble tho..

What is your problem? If you don't need (or comprehend) what someone else has written in response to your request for help, just ignore it! What a creep!

I think the OP was asking just because you feel alone - am I the worst case scenario? Or is this common? I didn't have huge dips, but my average o2 was 82% due to slow heart rate. Cpap brings it up only to 91%. I'm told that I'll be getting a pacemaker before they give me O2 overnight.
