Large leaks

Post by Jeramief » Wed Apr 24, 2019 10:41 am

I am having excessive mask leaks it has been ongoing for a few months i feel it is now affecting the quality of my therapy Last night 04/23/2019 i had a avg leak according to OSCAR of 5.42L/MIN. I use the ESON 2 mask and have much difficulty keeping it from leaking i am a very big guy I am wondering what a suggestion would be for a new mask. I have also used a wisp mask the results were very good other than i gave a very uncomfortable rub sore on the bridge of my nose I also when i first staarted out in the fall of 2017 I used Respironics Nuance pro and had trouble with leaks as well.

Average leak of 5 L/min from a Respironics machine (or any machine really) is no where near a large leak that is bad enough to impact therapy effectiveness. Well withing the machine's ability to compensate.

Now if those small leaks are waking a person up and disturbing sleep that's another story but they don't come close to being "large leak".

I would like to see the detailed report from the software.

I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

If you want to try the Eclipse mask and want a special promo code to get a little off the price...send me a private message.

If you can use a nasal mask and you don't have a mustache, try out the Respironics Dreamwear mask. It doesn't cover your nose at all, just lies beneath it.
