Cpap alarm

Post by 5peytonplace106 » Sun Aug 15, 2021 8:55 am

Resmed AirSense 10 for Her.

I have had several alarms go off when I'm asleep that cause broken sleep all night. I use a ResMed mask F10 (full face) and its as tight as I can get it. These alarms start about 1 week after I replace the mask with a new cushion. How do I turn the alarms off? I do know about air leaks.

What is going on? Any thoughts is appreciated.
Thanks

Neither do I. Nothing I can see in the manual about alarms either. I wonder if there is any sort of message on the LCD display at the time of whatever it is that is making noise sounding like an alarm.
When I used that model I never heard alarms or beeps or anything.

I would say next time it does what ever it does to set on any noise...alarm, beep, whatever....look at the LCD display and see if it is saying anything at all.

Contact the place where you bought it--unless it is off warranty.
No alarm hardware exists inside the Airsense 10 Autoset for her.
Some may suggest an auditory hallucination--but not I . . .

Looking at a 2017 message in another forum the ResMed 9 had an alarm that could be turned off but could not find that option for the Air Sense S10.

Thanks for your help.

Yes. Some of the older S9 models had an alarm (but not all models)...and actually there is an alarm available on the AirCurve 10 model line...leak alarm....and it's a low level "beep"...pretty lame alarm to be honest.
BUT....the AirSense 10 model line doesn't have that leak alarm that I have ever seen and there is no mention of it in their manual.
I have used the AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her myself...so I have been in that menu area.

Is it a low level beeping kind of thing?
Any message seen on the LCD display associated with it that you have noticed?

Pugsy, the sound is coming into the mask. Its not an alarm like a "smoke alarm sound", its like high pressured air pushing my mask out.

There is an old watch buried somewhere in the bedroom.
It was not anything I currently used, so I looked further.
I could never find it, though I looked whenever I heard the damn alarm.
It eventually stopped--I guess the battery died.

Take your water chamber out and push it back in and make sure it clicks in solidly.
Make sure all hoses are solid in secure.

Try trouble shooting while awake. What you describe sounds a lot like what I get if I don't shove the water chamber in completely and sometimes all it takes is another 1/8 of an inch and the darn thing shuts up.

Now there is one replaceable part that might have been damaged...the air outlet part but I don't know what kind of sound it makes when it goes bad as I have never had one go bad.

What exactly do you mean about "several alarms".

Further along, you say that there's "the sound coming into the mask", what "sound"?

Please try to communicate better if you want help.

Like Pugsy says, troubleshoot while awake, not while trying to sleep
