Horrible night using Bleep port

Post by Jeramief » Mon Jun 10, 2019 10:11 am

So i used Bleep port for a few nights with not good results. Both of these nights were at our Vacation home this past weekend using my Dreamstation Go with the add on Humidifier the top night is using the Eson 2 mask the bottom is Bleep Port it is not a auto machine. My Primary Machine at home is a Dreamstation Auto my thoughts with the Bleep is maybe too much Pressure. I am hopeful someone may have some Ideas.

Thanks

Can you please be more specific as to what your horrible results constitute.
Is it just the higher AHI?
Did you find that you woke more often with the Bleep?

I woke up way more felt tired in the morning as well the AHI was higher as well as RERA which in my understanding is like a mini wake up event? The leaks are way way lower with the Bleep I like the feel of the Bleep I was Kind of thinking my pressures are maybe too high for for the bleep was thinking of a Auto range on my auto machine.

Forum member Katestyles is using the Bleep with a bilevel machine and pressures are exceeding 20 cm every night and the minimum pressure she ever has is around 17 cm EPAP with IPAP being over 20 with every breath.
So technically the Bleep can handle it.

Now it may be possible that with the Bleep you need a little more pressure for some reason or other (happens with a lot of masks) and you might not like a fixed pressure that high all night.
Auto adjusting pressures might be a definite advantage especially in this situation.

When are you going to be going home so you can use your DreamStation Auto in apap mode?

Lets see.
Different machine.
Different mask.
Different location.
Different bed.

Different results.

Who would have thought.

I agree different machine different beds etc. The Eson 2 is my old standby mask Have used it for a long time tried the dreamwear with the large frame it is too small had decent results overall with it other than fit. Both machines are set up the same pressures etc both have humidifiers and use the same algorithms plus i used the Dreamstation go every other night when I was on the road as a truck driver staying in a hotel different rooms my numbers were always about the same from home to hotel to Cabin. I usually have my best numbers at the cabin I attribute that to the quietness of up there. So if it was a unknown bed or a new machine I would agree with your theory. The Bleep issue might just be not used to it but the numbers were off the charts for myself I always hover around a AHI of 1.

It's just when I change anything with my therapy it will take me a minimum of two nights to get back to normal (whatever that is).
Different pillow, pressure, routine, anything.
Just me I guess.

I'm confused. Your Dreamstation GO is not an auto? My GO is auto, and I thought that is the only one they make.

This was my first night with the Bleep at home last week! I played with it on auto because of the steady pressure. Those two nights were acceptable The second night I went back to my steady pressure of 16. The night on auto i felt like i was suffocating set machine back to 16.

Well I had a pretty restless night with the bleep but A Hyperbole I am not as I said at home the bleep numbers were ok but when I was gone they jumped! I would agree that variables normally would change numbers but as I have stayed at the cabin every weekend for a month straight the changes would be minimal which usually no changes in my numbers. And I agree it takes a few days to adjust the bleep was super comfortable and I liked no straps etc.
