Re: Question about Nasal Pillows
P10 all the way...I love it. If I hadn't gotten the P10 I don't think I could have ever gotten to the point where I use the machine every night. Keep in mind you can buy just the replacement straps once they get stretched for something like $20. Also, the clips can tighten things up a lot when neede...

Re: Has the AirMini firmware improved?
Yes, it frustrates me that I can't get the data. However, now that I'm pretty locked into a therapy routine that works well for me, the data is a condiment...I'm not sure it would change my behavior at this point.

Has the AirMini firmware improved?
I bought an AirMini early on and was a little frustrated with it - I found it a bit whiny and also not terribly easy to breath through. Fast forward and I currently love the device. It seems much quieter and the breathing seems more natural. Have they upgraded the firmware to make it better? Or have...

Re: Trouble breathing with cpap (first time user)
If the air seems to hot, perhaps the heat setting is too high? Or you could always try filling the tank with cooler water.

Re: Trouble breathing with cpap (first time user)
Perhaps this is obvious, but are you sure you need the full face mask? Clearly a nasal mask is likely to be easier to adjust to, and I personally think that the ResMed nasal pillows are extremely comfortable. But you have to be a nose breather. (I was convinced I was a mouth breather till I tried th...

Re: Resmed My Air
The resmed air mini may certainly be an indicator of things to come - it has no SD card.
Is there any way of getting the DME interface to myair for one’s own data? Say with a doctor’s signature?

Re: Resmed AirMIni
For what it's worth, I was a bit critical of it when I first got it, but now I use it regularly for travel. A little more noise (I've found if I put the machine on the floor away from my bed it's not a big issue) and I had to tweak the settings to get something comfortable (and I had to set it to 'f...

Re: "Sleep apnea's CPAP machine doesn't cut heart risks, study s
I'll continue with my CPAP too - for one thing I get super stressed now if I don't have it. But as someone with a somewhat scientific/ analytical bent, I certainly wish that there were firmer hard evidence for its efficacy as far as measurable outcomes. It's hard to conduct any real study on CPAP, u...

"Sleep apnea's CPAP machine doesn't cut heart risks, study s
Wasn't sure if this has been discussed (article came out earlier this year or last year I think). http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/29/health/cpap-heart-patients/index.html We know that people who have sleep apnea have worse health outcomes and worse cardiac outcomes in particular than people who don't. Bu...

Pugsy, the in line humidifier actually works fine. No issues from me even in dry Los Angeles.

Re: airmini dentist drill sound?
I'll post a recording. My ears are not good but I don't think I suffer from any odd disorders other than poor hearing at very high frequencies.
To clarify, though, do you have an airmini?

airmini dentist drill sound?
I know many have mentioned that the airmini is noisy, but I am curious if everyone is experiencing what I would call a high pitched 'dentist drill' type sound. It's really the one thing I am having a hard time tolerating...I am trying to determine if my unit is in any way defective

Re: Use Any Mask with your AirMini
Soooo.... I did indeed get the GE Clear Silicone II and jerry rigged the set up with the extra hose extender. I then attached my regular ResMed nasal pillow mask and the HME in line humidity thing from the Z1. Overall, I qualitatively have found it to be much quieter and more comfortable, amazingly....

Re: Use Any Mask with your AirMini
Thanks that's great. It's been less discussed here, but Philip's portable unit - which is very slightly larger but still quite portable - got some good reviews and as far as I can tell is less noisy. Would love to hear from someone who has tried both AirMini and Philips what they think. (Agree w/ yo...
