Re: Use Any Mask with your AirMini
I believe you're correct that the Airmini pushes the air differently from the AirSense 10. The airflow from the Airmini seems a lot more turbulent. The QTube doesn't eliminate the noise completely but enough that I could use it during travels. I also use the Z1 HME as part of my setup and in some w...

Re: Use Any Mask with your AirMini
Here's a reference to a thread I started a while ago that might explain the issues I had with the noise from the Airmini: http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=172660&p=1264551 Ah yes, sorry. This is in the wrong thread. I actually got the specs for the 3D adapter from you and that thread. Th...

Re: Mouth Taping and Not Suffocating
Not sure what kind of tape you're using, but when I taped my mouth shut, I could still breath in on both sides of my mouth if needed. Big smile!
But like others above, I stopped using it after a while as it helped train me to breathe through my nose.

Re: Use Any Mask with your AirMini
I got the 3D printed adapter referenced above the other day, so hooked it up to an AirMini with the AirMini hose connected to my Dreamwear Nasal mask and, hearing that the AirMini was silent, I put the mask on with great anticipation. Happily, it was quieter than with the freaking loud HumidX, but t...

Re: Use Any Mask with your AirMini
Resurrecting this thread a bit - Anyone have any idea if the new Airfit F30 mask from resmed works with the Airmini? It’s a new enough mask that there’s not much information available. Resmed’s documentation says F20 only but I’m wondering if that just hasn’t been updated. Nope. It doesn't work wit...

Re: Use Any Mask with your AirMini
Oh my! I rented an AirMini for testing last night and it was horrible. I had to take it off and sleep without a machine. The sound coming out of the HumidX was sooo loud -- a perpetual gushing of air, and it was actually really stinky. I heard someone refer to it as like breathing through a stinky s...

Re: AirMini daily use: How long will it last?
I travel extensively and have been using an Airmini for about a year and a quarter now. I also have a full-size machine at home. While the 'mini's been rock-solid, common sense indicates it won't last as long as a full-size machine, just due to the sheer size of all of the moving parts, since they'...

AirMini daily use: How long will it last?
An interesting comment came up in another thread that I think would be better on its own. I was asking about using the AirMini for daily use when a user made this comment: If somebody needs to prove CPAP compliance, the AirMini does not provide that data, AFAIK (as far as I know). The AirMini may no...

Re: Use Any Mask with your AirMini
With this kind of setup, does anyone use the AirMini for normal, daily home use? If it's acceptable for travel, why not for every day?

Re: Use Any Mask with your AirMini
I am looking for an adapter that INCLUDES the HumidX, meaning an adapter at the mask end. Is there anything like that? I want to use it with my Dreamwear Nasal mask. Basically, if you want to connect any standard mask to a AirMini, you wont be able to use HumidX humidifcation. The approach I...

Re: ResMed AirFit N30i nasal mask now available at cpap.com
My girlfriend has been working out of town and I took a trip to visit her this weekend. I hooked the N30i up to my AirMini and it seemed a little loud. I thought you couldn't use the N30i with the AirMini. How did you do that? You can get third party adapters to convert from the AirMini's proprieta...

Re: Use Any Mask with your AirMini
The question is, though, once you jimmy a new adapter to work with any hose, you lose the ability to have that HumidX, correct? I am looking for an adapter that INCLUDES the HumidX, meaning an adapter at the mask end. Is there anything like that?
