Re: Newbie needs help falling asleep

i found guided relaxation helpful... i found some on youtube that rather than thinking about your breathing were about clenching a muscle at a time then relaxing it.... it was a distraction and an actual relaxation. now im used to the machine i can do ones focused on breathing too.

Re: what does sleepyhead mean?

well upping the starting pressure to 6 seems to have helped (not sure why i did 6 rather than 7, but there you go...). i dont think i have been waking up as much, certainly not restarting the machine as much. AHI for the last week were all under .5. unfortunatly when i got in to sleepy head all i co...

Re: what does sleepyhead mean?

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I will go for starting the pressure at 7 tonight then, and see how that goes. It's nice to know I am on track with treatment and reading sleepy head well enough too - thanks to browsing on here for like the last year and a half! I would say I only wake up another cou...

Re: Panic at thought of CPAP.

do you have any experience of meditation or mindfulness, or even relaxation exercsies? id try to keep working on that until you see your dr again. like literally, do some kind of exercise every time you do start to feel the panic or anxiety building, ro find your self in a rabbit warren of negative ...

what does sleepyhead mean?

So with my s9 autoset, which i have on loan for about a month, i now have almost 3 weeks of data. which i reckon looks fine - nothing to be concerned about? if i get to keep it, instead of going back to my brick, i would up the lower pressure - but to be honest 4 is actually ok and not bothering me....

Re: "full data" machine - why??

'Why' is simple - to give you the control, and ability to manage your conditions your self. I am hoping to persuade my clinic to let me keep my data capable machine, currently on loan for 4 weeks due to increased fatigue. My brick cpap doesn't even tell me the ahi. So although your sleep apnoea seems...

sleepy head can't find card

So after going back to the sleep clinic with increased fatigue, I was sent home with an s9 auto set, to see what my pressures look like in the next 4 weeks, to see if my pressure needs to be set higher on my usual [brick] cpap, or I need a different machine altogether. As far as I can see this machi...

Re: feeling super tired again

Thanks for the replies I dont want to try gluten free until any testing is done - it can invalidate the results. I got the machine wrong - it's an escape, not the elite have - sorry. I get a nice sad face and I think it says brick in machine type! At least I don't seem to be missing any gong obvious...

feeling super tired again

Hi, I'm based in the UK, so equipment and support is from the nhs. And apparently in Scotland, that means being slow - although help over the phone is always available. I've been on cpap for like 15 months, adjusted well,no real problems, felt a lot better within a few months. Started feeling exhaus...
