Newbie nasal congestion question

Post by Badtzkat » Fri Mar 02, 2018 5:06 pm

I’ve been using my ResMed airsense 10 for a month now with a nasal mask and for the last 3 weeks feel like I have a cold but only nasal. I do use the humidifier and clean the chamber and tubes regularly.

Some people report too much humidity (high CPAP humidifier setting) causes nasal congestion. If yours is on a high setting, you might want to turn it down on a trial basis.

What humidity setting are you using?

If a higher setting you might try turning it down a bit.
If a lower setting you might try turning it up a bit.

If you are using the heated hose and it's set to automatic that is the setting of 4...which is middle of the road.
If you don't know the manual will explain how to find out.

I had on automatic but got a decent amount of moisture in my mask. But now it’s set to 2. My tube setting is at 80. Thank you for your input.
