Do I still need CPAP?
My Sleephead AHI for the past week is 0.16, 0.61 for last 30 days, and 1.17 for past year. My events lately are H and RE events occurring several minutes after a pressure increase. I had concha bullosa nose surgery on 2/4/19 and am breathing the best in years. I've had a deviated septum for years. I...

Re: Clear Airway Apnea
Another explanation from Jason was here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xallwxPCg84 I didn't notice this post when it first appeared and had also noticed that most of my AHI was clear airway on Sleepyhead. I went looking and found the above video. 3/4's of my clear airway events showed the jump as ...

What is "acceptable" leak rate?
I had 3 large leak sessions last night of about 10 minutes each. It may have been mouth breathing. I'm not concerned as it usually doesn't happen and my AHI was 0.47. I'm confused by all the numbers. My Resmed Airsense 10 shows Happy Face. Myair at Resmed.com deducted points for it and shows 30 L/mi...

Re: Dreamwear Full Face Mask!!!
... Starting out on my back, the machine is to my left not far from my head. The hose runs from the machine, behind my head, over to the left and then loops back to the fitting on top of my head. I sleep part of the night on my right side, and it is easy to get on my right side without disturbing t...

Re: Opinion of home sleep studies
I had a home oxomitry test and passed it with flying colors. I have a deviated septum and could sleep OK on my left side. Six months later I was planning a left hip replacement and knew I would not be able to sleep on my left side. I went back to the sleep doctor and had a full blown sleep-over test...

Re: Respironics DreamWear Full Face Mask Review
If you like the Dreamwear nasal you should like the Dreamwear FFM. I have both and the Dreamwear Nasal is better but if you need a FFM then Dreamwear FFM is the way to go. If you want to save some money you can use the frame for both and just switch the FFM insert/cushion for the nasal cushion and s...

Re: Dreamwear Full Face Mask
So, I just wanted to make sure we are all on the same page with the mask. The FRAME is the same for the Full Face mask as the Nasal mask. The only difference is the Cushion and straps. The cost to just buy the straps is like $45 and the cushion is also around $40. The cost for the Fit Pack kit is $...

Re: No SD Card in AirSense 10
I recently joined the CPAP club (Sept 2017) and received an Airsense 10. It did not have the SD card. The slot was empty and none in the package. This was under Medicare. and the door thingy is blue. I've been trying different masks so I needed the info in Sleephead. My wife has a slightly older Air...

Re: Dreamwear Full Face Mask
... I still prefer to use the AutoRamp feature that starts with 5.0 cm of pressure. When I first hook up my DreamWear full face mask, it doesn't take much of a nudge at all to cause air to leak out the sides of my mask. I usually sit up for a minute or lie on my back while the mask fills up with ai...

Re: Automatic cpap cleaner
I found that Philips Respirontics allows weekly cleaning the non fabric parts of the Dreamwear mask(s) in the dishwasher top rack with the drying cycle off. I also clean the Airsense 10 water chamber that way. Do other manufacturers allow dishwashers? Only the dishwasher safe AirSense 10 humidifier...
