Bronchitis and CPAP?

I was so glad I went to see the doctor tonight rather than waiting - when I found out I have an ear infection, sinus infection, and bronchitis - that I never thought to ask him about using my CPAP with this going on. Actually, he may not have been the one with an answer. I'd like to hear from those ...

I slept with the CPAP and nasal pillows last night and am now on my way to the endodontist for a - believe it or not - root canal! And I actually think sleeping with it has helped! With nasal pillows, the air was forced right into my nose - it seemed to keep things more dried up in my head - and my ...

Use with a Cold?

Hi Everyone! I get so much more help here than from anyone else and I'm so glad this forum exists! I have an escalating cold. I didn't use the CPAP last night because of it and I was miserable and didn't sleep well at all (neither did my poor husband). Does it hurt to use the CPAP and have the humid...

Rainout

I learned a lot in just a couple minutes! From now on I'll stay connected here! So this heated hose is probably the answer? I'll have to check into that. Thanks so much for your help!

Rainout

I haven't been on here in months and just came back on because I have a problem. I see right away that what it is is what you are calling "rainout." I've been on the Comfort Lite for a year. The pillows fit right in my nose and I don't have all those issues with the mask covering my nose and lines o...

Humidity Question for Nasal Pillow Users

Here I am with another question! I use the nasal pillows - lasted on the mask for one week! But I have a lot of trouble with nose stuffiness. That seems to be my biggest problem now. I found that my heated humidifier was set at 1 and changed it to 2, and am now doing a little better after changing ...

Yoga - In case you come back and see this - thanks very much for pointing me to the pdf instructions online. I had hurriedly looked there and missed them. Thank you all for your willingness to help! I printed the instructions; also printed instructions for the humidifier and have turned it up a bit ...

Pressure Adjustment

I have the two extra little arrow buttons on my Respironics RemStar Plus machine and have pushed them by accident in the middle of the night when I was trying to turn the machine off to walk to the bathroom. Is changing the pressure harder than that? I cannot find the little booklet that came with m...

Need Some Advice

Master Shake: I am now using the Respironics nasal pillows, and if it weren't for them, I don't think I would be able to adjust to the CPAP either. They just fit into your nose and you don't have that claustrophobia or sore nose bridge from a mask. I think this is worth a try! I sleep on my side and...

Lindakay Introduction

Hi everyone. I began using a CPAP the beginning of September and am now using nasal pillows, which make everything a lot easier to tolerate! I have a friend who also was diagnosed with sleep apnea around the same time as me and am going to tell her about this site. What a great support group this wi...

Hi All Again

Oops! I went and looked at my machine. It's a RemStar Plus with a heated humidifier. The equipment I'm using with it is Respironics, with nasal pillows. Sorry... I'm just learning the lingo on here and am very glad this site exists!

Hi All

Suserbec - I'm another woman who's new at this! I just turned 57, am told I look like I'm in my 40s, but have been feeling OLD because of the effects of my newly-named sleep apnea. I have a Respironics CPAP machine with a humidifier, and I know my pressure is set at 9. I started using it in early Se...
