Re: Mouthguard for teeth grinding
Has anyone tried the fit-at-home mouthguards to stop teeth grinding while asleep? My dentist made mouthguard is beginning to break up and rather than spend significant cash on another to only have it last a year, I thought I could try one of the online dental labs (Remi, Cheeky, ClearClub). Before ...

Re: Distilled Water Shortage?
Is anyone else finding it more difficult to find distilled water in stores? The shelves where I am near DC seem to be pretty empty lately. Don't be fooled by the "Distilled water" in the baby section at Walmart. If you read the label you will see that it is indeed distilled water but with minerals ...

Re: Resmed Aircurve Water Tank Mod
Has anyone modified the Resmed Arcurve water tank in a way that makes filling easier? My thought is to make a 1/2" hole in the top of the tank to allow filling via a funnel. The new hole in the water tank could then be plugged with a rubber stopper. This would eliminate the need for removing the ta...

Re: Recording pulse oximeters that stay on the finger well?
I'd like reviews of of inexpensive recording pulse oximeters that stay on the finger better, than finger clamp devices like the Contec CMS50DA+ I tried, even if I turn over while alseep. In addition to staying on the finger, I prefer units that time-tag data, in a format that can be input into OSCA...

Re: Philips Dreamstation Constantly Restarting
I've had a Philips Dreamstation for about a year and a half, and had no problems with it until last night. About 3:30 AM my house lost power for a few minutes (I'm one of those people that will sleep through a thunderstorm but wake up because of the sudden silence from all the various fans and whit...

Re: CPAP replacement for someone newly under Medicare
So IMO this is pinching pennies yet promising you more like dental or eye care or transportation or OTC meds, etc. So choose your poison carefully. Indeed, But most people don't really understand WHY Medicare Advantage Plans offer "extras" like dental/eye/transport/OTC etc. It's not because they wa...

Re: Can you measure the actual fraction of inspired oxygen delivered when connecting O2 to your CPAP/Bi-level?
So if room air is 21% FiO2, generally it's accepted that every increase in LPM is about a 4% increase in the FiO2. But with CPAP or Bi-level, depending on the pressures used, dilution occurs. So 2LPM delivered by a nasal cannula is not the same as 2L delivered by connecting tubing from a concentrat...

Re: Inogen G5 Carry Bag
Just gogt my G5 carry bag. What's the best way to deal with the 25" cannula? Do you just stuff igt in there? Seems pretty snug! You can buy different lengths and they are cheap. I use a 7' on My Oxygo Next which I am told is the same thing as the Inogen. I just coil it up and stick in the front pou...

My RA has recommended Medical Marijuana, by the inhale method, due to severe chronic pain. I've been on it for 10 days Was hoping for a better and longer sleep mode, but still only receiving 4-5 hours. Usually dispense a treatment hour or so before going to bed. The other numbers are satisfactory H...

Re: Machine turns itself off
I searched and didn’t see this topic. My Philips DreamStation is turning itself off at night. I don’t think I’m doing it during the night but will test this by putting a book on top of it. Could a loose mask cause this? The unit is four years old. Maybe the "Auto Off" is turned on. I believe if the...

Re: Res-Med S9 with Hi humidifier
[ I have a S9-Hi Res-med unit and a Devilbiss 5 liter concentrator. Is there a heated hose with a built-in adaptor for the 1/4 inch tube that comes from the concentrator. Right now they have sent me a oxygen supply adapter that connects to your mask by your face. Is this the only set-up that you can...
