It really doesn't matter what they are if you aren't asleep because you have to be asleep for anything flagged to really matter.

I do not know if they would help or hurt in your situation but you might talk to an ENT doc about your problem and what you think it is and would something like "lacrimal plugs" be indicated as a possible solution for your problem.

If you wait until the other one up and dies it might put your new machine out of warranty and if something should happen to it when out of warranty then you will be kicking yourself in the butt. Pretty much silent unless the vented air bounces off something.

The new machine may not like the old card if it has the old machine's data on it.
You may need to erase the old SD card if you want to use it.

I would just use a new card in the new machine if it was me.
