I am hoping that when I go today I will have an opportunity to ask a couple questions, and maybe even know what my test results were even though it's been a year.
You should get in touch with the doctor's office and get a copy of the summary page of your sleep study. It's usually one to two pages long. Seeing the results of the study is unlikely to change anything - you need CPAP and efforts to develop a good CPAP process should be your focus. But, it's good to have a copy of the summary in a permanent file.

Thank you Chicago Granny! I had planned on calling to set my first appointment next week and hope to accomplish both getting a copy of my sleep study as well as finding out the doctor's name.

As for developing a good process - I'm trying really hard - first two nights were easy, night 3 a disaster simply because I had worked a double shift so my whole schedule was off and last night I slept longer than I think I have ever slept before - need to be careful to stay within my regular parameters but working on it.

I use the Dreamwear mask so that the hose is above my head and I tie it with a big ribbon to the frame of my shutters above the bed. I have no problems with the hose at all. You can do this. even if you got 4 hours of quality sleep it's better than being semi awake all night. If youre scared of the machine, use it when youre awake and make peace with it. You'll be ok

Thanks Daisy! I was doing fine with the mask until last night when for no reason I know of, I ripped it off my face and went back to sleep. May try that with the hose, but it seems I may not have to - since using the Cpap I have been laying stiff as a board to sleep and when I need to roll over, then I wake up, roll, readjust mask and hose and go back to sleep.
