Hello, I've been using an AirFit F10 (small) with an Airsense S10 Autoset for about six weeks. It's the first time I've ever used a CPAP machine. I've slowly gotten used to it and had a really good run last week where I was only waking once during the night (a huge improvement!) and scoring 100s on the myAir app. However, since I cleaned my mask and headgear over the weekend I've been getting consistent bad leaks every night and I often wake up with a lot of pressure in the mask or air blowing into my eyes.
I cleaned the mask and headgear with a mild dish soap in lukewarm water, rinsed them off and then left them out to dry. The headgear feels a bit different now -- the back of it doesn't seem as secure as it did before. Is it possible that I've shrunk the mask and if so how can I stretch it out again? Or is there something else I could try?
Thanks!
Mask leaks after cleaning
Re: Mask leaks after cleaning
I suspect that you did nor reassemble it correctly or that a part broke. I don't suspect "chemical damage," if you only used mild soap.
Re: Mask leaks after cleaning
I tend to recall Pugsy writing about being able to shrink headgear with hot water, so the opposite must be true as well. If all is assembled correctly, I would suspect you have altered the headgear sizing and not the mask itself.
