Speaking of cpaps and Airport Security what about use on the plane.

Ok I've seen posts about using cpaps on airplanes and that you have to have a battery etc.

Now I have no overnight plane trips at all in my future but if I want to take a quick nap on the plane trip from Pittsburgh to San Antonio or even in my car on the way to NY should I be looking to hook up my in the car (it has a 110 outlet)?

I think I've seen posts that if I want to take a quick nap at home (something I don't do since treatment) I should hook up.

I always use my machine when I sleep- I like to breathe. I used my battery with Dreamstation GO on the planes. No problem at all.

I do use it even for a nap. However, I generally don't use it on a plane, as it might cause issues. However, I always use it at my destination.

The issue for me is that then I would have to take my nap in my bed which makes it way too official.

If you choose to use it in your car, PLEASE let somebody else drive.

I just bought a Medistrom Pilot-24 Plus Lithium ion battery which can be connected as an always on power backup (between the Airsense 10 unit and your 120 volt power source) or battery powered alone....turn off humidifier and turn off heated hose and turn on airplane mode. It's around CAD $385. Another CAD $50+ for a car charger accessory.

There is a Pilot-12 Plus battery for the Respironics Dreamstation.

It seems to seem that using a CPAP on an occasional flight is overkill, unless you are seeking attention.

Yea because since I have a simplex FF mask its really weird to wear my glasses when I have it on.
