Re: getting sores on my nose issue
Thanks for all the suggestions...will try them all one at a time and see if it persists. The spot is slightly on the side near the tip.

nasal adapter keeps releasing from the air tube
I can't remember the model mask I have but it has the two rubber pieces that come down the side of your face and each side connects to the nasal piece. One side just started letting go if you slightly turned or put any pressur eon it. I have looked it over closely but can't for the life of me figure...

getting sores on my nose issue
I didn't always get this but lately I have been getting these weird sores on my nose and wondered if the latex or rubber used in the mask causes this. The nasal component doesn't really touch that part of my nose but I suppose when I bury the side of my head in a pillow it could rise up and touch th...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
I registered my unit a year and half ago and still have not heard squat. My sleep doctor says the harm of not using the unit is far more serious than the possible side affects of the issue. What to do

Re: Philips Respironics Recall V2.0 Questions and Answers
I registered my machine with Philips and received a letter yesterday basically telling me to stop use of the CPAP. My sleep doctor says to continue using the machine as the risks of not using it far outweigh any possible danger from the machine. What are the rest of you who use these units doing? BT...

bought a new mask and now my face has red blotches on cheeks and forehead
Strange how I never really thought it was my CPAP mask, but I think the soft rubber pushed againts my face has caused this strange condition. It seems to be right where the side pieces push up against your cheek and again at the top on my forehead. I am not 100% sure but went back to my older mask w...

Re: Plain Water vs Scented Water
I use distilled water, and once or twice a week I clean out the reservoir. I wash it out and then I put in a little gillette, red can foamy shave cream and then wash that all out and refill with distilled water. I absolutly love the smell of that shave cream and after washing it out it leaves a sli...

6- 6.5 hours sleep per night.....I want more
Not really a CPAP question but CPAP does not help with it at all. Even before I started with CPAP I found myself waking up earlier and earlier. Now it seems to be part of my inner clock. I go to bed at about 11 and might fall asleep before 11:30 and then I am awake at 5:30 with several wakings durin...

Re: Please recommend where to try APAP masks in Toronto, Canada?
I was sent to a sleep clinic up in the finch and dufferin area...on 2 Champagne drive. Brand new facility sort of like a shopping mall of doctor and lawyer services. Dr Pearl was the Dr that I saw and there is a cpap store right next door....very convenient. They will let you test out all sorts of d...

Re: Not sure if the humidifier is working
Last night I was back to normal...I re cleaned the hose and ran water through it for a good minute or so. I think maybe there was some soap residue left behind. I was talking to my wife and she said that the last few nights she could smell something coming out of the mask when I was facing her that ...

Not sure if the humidifier is working
My unit is less than 6 months old and I keep the humidity at number 2. Most nights I can go about 5-7 hours with the mask but the last 3 or 4 nights I have taken it off at about the 2 hour mark and in 3 of those cases I don't even remember doing it although I find the mask sitting on top of the unit...

a hair question
This is a very unimportant topic but it is an issue for me. I use a wisp mask and I will assume many will do the same thing. My hair is a mess!!! I shower every morning and I now have a spot on my head where my hair stands on end from the strap of the mask changing the way it seems to lay. I was won...
