DreamMapper Quit

Post by edatlanta » Mon Jul 16, 2018 4:30 am

I know not a lot here like DreamMapper, but I do like being able to take a morning look-see at what happened during the night. Yesterday morning 7-15-18 the daily d/l from my Dreamstation wouldn't work. I ended up uninstalling the app on my android phone and installing it again. No Joy! This morning, 7-16-18 at 5:25am, the d/l was very very slow and was current only through 7-15-18. No data for 7-16-18. I have, previous to yesterday, been able to see what just happened first thing in the morning.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I took the SD card out of the Dreamstation and looked at it on SleepyHead just now and the current data for last night is on the card, so the problem seems to be with DreamMapper.

?????

I just installed that app last week and it worked fine for 3 days and then this weekend it keeps telling me that I have no permission to access bluetooth on the device. the device says that bluetooth is on, and the phone settings show that bluetooth is connected , but the app sits in limbo with the icon spinning forever,

So it isn't just me. I will stop fighting it then and just sit tight and wait.

Maybe a new version or more capability is coming?

Thanks for your input.

It won't display for me this morning, either. It has happened before.

I gave up using DreamMapper about 3 months ago after almost 2 years of using it. I found the android software buggy and unreliable. Data would not download for several days at a time and the data was often inaccurate compared to what the machine reports. Also, heaven help you if you uninstall the app and try to reinstall it....so difficult to even get the app working again. I'd rather pull the SDcard periodically and upload the data for Sleepyhead on my computer.

It's not been working since the last update; at least not on Apple devices.

Same here; it worked fine as of July first. Stopped a couple of days ago. Came back this morning, but says there is no data from last night. The chip was on the machine, though.
Let's see what happens next night

Which version iOS? I see I have an update to install —11.4.1— and DreamMapper quit on me Saturday. I’m curious if 11.4.1is the update that messed it up for you.

No joy again this morning. Again I checked the SD card on sleepyhead and the data for the past 2 nights is on the card. So DreamMapper is still dead.

I'm not losing any sleep over it however.

. . . It has happened before.
IT crew on vacation?
Company priorities--patients on queue . . .
What can be seen on the machine display?
It may be set for less than it can show if set correctly.
See the clinical manual. (Everybody should have one.)

Whatever the problem was, it seems to now be fixed. All the retro-active date are present as well.

I’ve been having issues as well, but last time I posted about it on here I got my head ripped off about it because apparently it’s an app handed down from God that never has any problems.

No...you just had the misfortune of tangling with a new member who ended up being just a troll and he won't be bothering people again. All he wanted to do was stir up trouble just for the sake of stirring up trouble and discord. He picked the wrong person to tangle and threaten....

Most of the long term forum members here think it's a POS and don't bother with it. I tried it for grins once and I didn't like it wanting to call home and make my computer do things without my choosing it to. It was a bitch to get rid of.
I don't like any application trying to do anything without my telling it to.
I never could see the fascination with the phone apps...but each to their own I guess.
People can see pretty much the same thing on the LCD screen and even more if they want to use the software and they can even use a special wi fi SD card if they wish so they don't have to even pull the SD card. .
It's not all that much work to see the extra details using the software available.
What you see from the website...pretty lame IMHO but again...each to their own.

I had to pair my Bluetooth again, but it is working again.

I agree it isn't a good program, but I still like to use it every morning to see how things went the night before.
