Re: Aging & Changing Sleep Patterns

Which sleep onset is the most difficult for you to obtain...initial at the beginning of the night or the sleep onset after the pee break? My observations are that sleep onset gets more difficult as the night progresses because I have less deep need for sleep as the night progresses. If I wake at 4 ...

Re: Aging & Changing Sleep Patterns

Further background. I cannot remember when I last slept through the night. I always have one or more pee breaks. Yes, I'm on meds for that. So I have two types of falling asleep. One is when I am very tired when I first go to bed. The second is in the middle of the night when I am a lot less tired a...

Re: Aging & Changing Sleep Patterns

I set up the ramp time to use the Auto option which just uses approx 4 cm pressure to purge the mask of used air until it senses I am asleep. Then it ramps up to my pressure of 14 cm. This means I can get back to sleep in the early hours of the morning when I am not so tired as there is no rushing ...

Re: Aging & Changing Sleep Patterns

As my basic S8 machine is 11 years old, I just bought an AirSense 10 Elite. I set up the ramp time to use the Auto option which just uses approx 4 cm pressure to purge the mask of used air until it senses I am asleep. Then it ramps up to my pressure of 14 cm. Re: How to minimise SleepyHead?

Your first two sentences solved the problem for me. Everything now looking as it should and working as I expect it should. I suspect I must have hit some wrong keys.

Thanks for taking the time out from being a SleepyHead mentor, guide. I am very grateful.

Regards,
Chris

Re: How to minimise SleepyHead?

F11 does nothing for me. The desktop screen resolution is on its max size. So I'll keep trying to find what is likely a simple solution.

Thanks,
Chris

Re: How to minimise SleepyHead?

I used exactly the same link as you! I'm using Win 8.1 on an HP laptop.

I can get used to using Task Manager to close the program!

Thanks again,
Chris

Re: How to minimise SleepyHead?

I installed SleepyHead a few days ago. This is what I originally downloaded. I have just downloaded it again and reinstalled with the same problem. h ttp://sleepfiles.com/SH/files/snapshots/SleepyHead-1.0.0-beta-2-Snapshot-Win32-OpenGL-20160422.exe I'll try looking for another source. Thanks for you...

How to minimise SleepyHead?

I am not able to minimise Sleepy Head or close the program from the top right hand corner. I have to close the program using Task Manager. All suggestions welcome.

Thanks,
Chris

Re: Aging & Changing Sleep Patterns

I took your advice, Julie, to the extreme. I set the house thermostat to 17°C. I closed the bedroom door. I put an extra blanket on the bed. I opened the window blinds and the casement window about 2 inches. The room temperature dropped to 14°C. My time on the CPAP machine did not change. My sleep p...

Re: Aging & Changing Sleep Patterns

I assume you are saying a cooler temperature is ideal for sleeping? The thermostat is set to lower the temperature at least 2°C, sometimes 4°C. What description, item, in my first post made you mention room temperature? Medication is usual blood pressure control, low dose aspirin and cholesterol con...

Aging & Changing Sleep Patterns

I'm using an S8 with full face mask since 2007 with pressure of 13. I am a 77 male. During the last few years I feel I have become a lighter sleeper who can easily doze with a dull book or boring TV program. I don't seem to build up a 'high depth of need' for sleep as I can go to sleep before that s...
