Ooops...my bad...EPR is exhale pressure relief and that's what it is called on the ResMed machine and my brain saw Resmed in your profile but you have a Resprionics machine...
So your exhale relief is called Flex...
when you go to auto (apap) mode...also change the Flex option to A Flex and try the different settings available (1, 2 , and 3 and even off) and see if it helps you with the initial issues you are having.
But note....for A Flex to kick in the pressure has to be at least 6 cm...It won't work if there is no room for the pressure to drop during exhale so it won't drop unless you try 6 cm on the ramp starting. I know it sounds like a lot...but try ramp starting at 6 with A Flex set to 2 or 3 (try both) and just see what it feels like. You might or might not like it but give it a try.
