I think maybe one last question for today :P

we travel a lot. sometimes boondocking without electricity.

can I get a 12v cable for it? we have a 12 setup in the motorhome. was using the one I bought for my DreamStation...

I think this is the 12 volt inverter for the machine you are trying.

If you get a machine later from Medicare it would take a different inverter.

ResMed machines are 24 volt so you need something to convert the 12 v battery to 24 volt.

The converter that prodigyplace linked to will work on the S9 and there is a similar one for the AirCurve.

Battery life is going to depend on pressure needs and if a humidifier is use...and I wouldn't advise even trying the heated hose on a battery setup. Just too much of a drain. Use a non heated hose of some sort...any of them will work.
The humidifier is a big enough drain and I don't know how long a battery would last with humidifier on...now one could maybe add water and do passover mode but that's minimal added moisture. For me that wouldn't be enough.

If they do not have a non heated hose can’t the heat be turned off from the menu?

Depends on the model...AirSense yes...I don't remember about the S9.
I had one machine that wouldn't let me...might have been my PR S1 though.

Yes, the S9 can have the heated hose and humidifier both turned to zero (off) from the menu.

Yeah, just ignore that front page... that 'evaluation' is gone from the next version, and should never have been put in there... the programmer regrets having been pressured into putting that crap in there.

Thank goodness that annoyance is going to be gone. It caused more panic and confusion than anything. Making mountains out of mole hills and all...plus people need to learn to do their own evaluations and not rely on something like that anyway.

Last I saw, they were thinking about just a simple statement of facts... maybe something like "last night your AHI was xxx, for the last week, the average was yyy.

no "evaluation"...
