Re: Autoset for Her, RERAs and CSRs
For sure the newest AirSense 10 AutoSet reports Cheyne Stokes Respiration. I got one event last night. It started with one OA, followed by three CA events. The A10 only responded by bumping up pressure in response to the OA. Just as they say it acts. The whole CSR event gets highlighted in green and...

Re: Descaling humidifier using lemon? Tips please!
To Kipster , I'm sure the stuff from the home brew people in Salisbury is as good as any, but they are "predominantly mail order". That is, if you happen to be in the area, you can pick some up. Otherwise, you rely on Royal Mail. The citric acid produced by Dri-Pak and sold in Wilko stores (under t...

Re: AHI jumping to scary levels with new machine.
That would be bad news then. The machine is maxed out on pressure and flow. I thought the machine may be up to the job, but not when it is feeding leaks.

Re: Replacing Resmed S9 Autoset
Fred, the one other advantage of the A10 over the S9 is that the travel case is smaller. So even if you take the whole machine instead of just the S9 without the humidifier, it is smaller. It also has Velcro straps on the back of it to slip over the extension handles of a wheeled travel bag.

Re: AHI jumping to scary levels with new machine.
So I adjusted my mask a little and leak rate was really good and then I had a horrible 4 hours of sleep. AHI 23 concluded with a central (can't remember last time I had that) + waking up gasping. Really at my wits end here. I'm willing to try pretty much anything. If someone says sleeping on the fl...

Re: AHI jumping to scary levels with new machine.
I give up trying to reason with some people who just won't listen. Might as well be arguing with that stump in my back yard. To Barb...you know what you need and why. That's why you had the most recent sleep study and did indeed confirm the presence of central apneas and you already know full well ...

Re: Autoset for Her, RERAs and CSRs
The standard AirSense 10 does actually report RERA events. I have experienced a couple in the last week. See the SH chart below for an example, and a close up of what it looks like. It seems to be associated with a flow limitation and the A10 responds to that by increasing pressure. My understanding...

Re: AHI jumping to scary levels with new machine.
Unless your current machine is the DreamStaton ASV machine I can tell you right now why it is NOT dealing with your central apneas. It can't. It's the wrong machine to give to someone with central apnea. It's not the machines's fault because it was never designed to treat centrals (unless you have ...

Re: Any Recommendations to Improve Therapy
Pugsy makes has some valid points. I would suggest you put your cursor over the wake up time and keep clicking the up arrow until a fairly narrow range is shown that has the wake up on the right. The left and right arrow keys let you move this window along the time scale. You want to see the mask an...

Re: AHI jumping to scary levels with new machine.
Any ideas/suggestions? Can you post a daily detail screenshot of the last result where the AHI was about 11 or so? April 10th? The good news is that your high AHI is being caused by obstructive events and hypopnea, and both can be addressed with your machine. If you post the daily detail screenshot...

On a very quick look I found this on line UK beer/wine making supply store that offers citric acid. You might want to try half a kilo to see how it works for you.

Re: Any Recommendations to Improve Therapy
Here is a new screenshot from last night where I did turn machine off and back on when I noticed discomfort and wanted to take mask off. I don't remember times that this happened except for the obvious 2+ hour break BUT I did put mask back on and am patting myself on my back for doing that. Can you...

One last time.... Carry on. You are only digging yourself deeper into the hole. By the way I am Canadian, not Australian. In Canada we play hockey, and when someone drops the gloves it is customary to drop the gloves also. You dropped the gloves, and now you are finding out what a real fight is. I ...
