Is your CPAP therapy not optimized and stable?

Once my therapy was stable, I found the machine display info became all I would check upon arising. Only in the rare case where the display showed a large leak or an AHI above 2.5, will I look at the data in Sleepyhead.

No eggs?

Dog Slobber is very new to this therapy...and hasn't got to the point where it's all boring yet.
Pugsy is correct in that I'm not board of the data yet.

But, I don't consider my therapy stable yet either. The problem doesn't seem to be with my therapy sessions, instead it is with my nasal passages.

I don't want to hijack this thread with my issues, so I'll create another topic.

Arie brought this to my attention the other day.. I can appreciate all your viewpoints on this, sometimes I just aim a little too high, and uh... miss miserably.

The next release the ugly beta tag will be gone, but what Palerider said about bugs in all software still stands :-}

Hey, real life happens. We have all got more than our money's worth from your software.

Have you considered making it open source so others could contribute too? Just another random thought,

Apparently there are not too many geeks here but there should be other geek CPAP users or those willing to help a family member. Others may be able to assist with the online help, especially the retired folks and those with systems you do not have for testing.

It's always been open source and easily found on the download page we normally send people to down at the bottom.

We get a lot of arm chair quarterbacks saying they can make it better but no one ever pulls on their working boots and does anything but talk. There's never been anything to stop someone else from getting the code and running with it and trying their own version based on existing version.

I, for one, have just always been thankful for what what I have...bugs and all and I am smart enough to know that there's no way in hell I could ever do what Mark has done here. I don't do codes...never have and don't want to learn.

Thanks, Pugsy.

I have not done much in Windows. My son has done more. I missed the source and assumed it was just free software.

If I have some time I may see if my son can help troubleshoot some of the windowing issues.

Thanks for the reminder...

Any fellow OpenSource geeks able to help translate, or edit wiki documentation, pull SleepyHeads GIT sourcecode and set up and build with against the Qt (as well as Annulen's QtWebkit revival) SDK's on Windows/Mac/Linux/BSD/etc, fix bugs, write new CPAP/device importers (pleeeeease....lol), are invited to come join us on SleepyHead's Discord server to help get the next release rolling. (Just ask for an invite and ye shall receive one)

You don't have to be a complete guru, we are all totally willing to help anyone fill in the gaps in their knowledge... You just have to be willing, and not afraid of breaking stuff.

Thank you for your effort.
I have not used it since my Windoze machine died--but maybe some day . . .

Hey Mark, I'm trying to build sleepyhead for the Pi3 B+, please add me to the discord. Also I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the -brokenGL version running (I have 1.0 and v0.9.8 compiled and running). Running on Raspbian Stretch. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is a non-expiring Discord user link. https://discord.gg/4RYKscZ

The SleepyHead chat servers are pretty dead right now. Mark appears to have gone off-net working on SleepyHead.
Is there Qt 5.5 for Raspian Stretch? I have worked some with compiling some SleepyHead versions on Linux but have concentrated on better packaging for the newer unstable versions using AppImage for packaging to be more distribution agnostic. The Pi is a different hardware (kernel) platform though.

I personally do not have a Pi but may be able to borrow one for testing. I assume you want the BrokenGL version because you either do not have the OpenGL libraries or the Pi graphics do not have OpenGL 2 support.

To compile BrokenGL you need to add a DEFINE to qmake.
qmake [specs] /path/to/SleepyHeadQT.pro DEFINES+=BrokenGL
SleepyHead 1.0 requires Qt 5.5 with WebKit.
This link looks useful for compiling Qt 5.5 on Raspian. I do not notice them compiling WebKit, though. https://wiki.qt.io/Native_Build_of_Qt5_ ... spberry_Pi

The download link above (using Git) looks incorrect. Get the tar.gz or tar.xz from here (not the zip - It is Windows only). https://download.qt.io/archive/qt/5.5/5.5.1/single/

You can download the SleepyHead 1.0.0-beta 2 source from here. https://gitlab.com/sleepyhead/sleepyhead-code/tags

Thanks for the Discord invite.

Raspbian Stretch comes with QT 5.7 actually. Pi3 has access to OpenGL, however it's OpenGL ES 2.0 which doesn't seem to run.

Now my main problem is that I've tried qmake with "DEFINES+=BrokenGL", however after compilation it throws the same message that I need the -BrokenGL version. It's incredibly frustrating.

After Qt 5.5 they moved from WebKit to the incompatible WebEngine. This initially stalled Sleepyhead development.
Mark has meticulously removed the WebKit dependencies for the new versions he is currently developing. He had kept much of his code on that private for now.
