You are so wrong here.

The only bilevel machines that will force a person to breathe are those high end bilevel machines in the NIV category.
The AirSense 10 VAuto is NOT in that category.

You don't have a frigging clue what you are talking about when it comes to this complicated stuff.
I suggest you stick with the basics which you still need to work on and I guess I am going to have to come behind you and suggest that newbies ignore you because you are scary wrong and you might hurt someone.
The cpap forum veterans already know to ignore you.
OK, that's enough from you. Why do you think it is your job here to insult other posters? Don't bother to respond as you are now on my ignore list with a few others.
Because you're spouting bullshit, you don't even know how to make YOUR OWN THERAPY WORK.... stop giving out crap "advice".

By the way, I am a retired mechanical engineer, and I do know what I am talking about. What are your qualifications?
The world is probably safer now that you're retired, if your previous work was up to the standards of your cpap knowledge.

I have no idea who alphabet boy is, but if he was an engineer and knowledgeable I can see why you may have had issue with him. Engineers deal in fact and science, and qualify their comments when making an opinion that is just that.
Alphabet boy was an insulting asshole that knew nothing discernible, but like you, thought he knew everything. He's the first person to be banned from the forum in many years, and all his posts wiped. Perhaps you're next.
Ron AKA wrote:

People that are respectful on a forum come to get help and help others. They do not come to get insulted.
You're not helping anybody with your spouting of ignorance.

I retired as the vice president of engineering in a large international company. I was known as a tough manager that "did not suffer fools lightly". Since I cannot block your posts, I will now respond to them with the diplomacy switch turned off.
Ah, "management", no wonder you know nothing but think you know everything. You're well on your way to being the laughing stock here, along with DH.

Hey guys and gals.

Just correct the misinformation and let it go. Remember the forum discord with the alphabet boy...you can't teach these people who think they know it all anything so why bruise your fingers trying.
He's not worth it and already has proven he just wants to argue instead of learn.
Let's try to not have a repeat of the mess we had last year.

CPAP veterans will easily see him for what he is. Just warn the newbies who might not know any better.

Remember...attack the message if needed and not the messenger if at all possible. That is the best defense against people like this.
You can't reason with them..remember we went down that road last year and look where it got us.
If someone isn't open to learning you can't cram it down their throat as much as we would like to.
And we can't slap the crap out of them no matter how much we would like to.

Sorry Pugsy, but that is what you are doing here, not me. I can easily believe you have had a mess for a long time with this forum. It has no effective moderation. palerider is the most obvious troll that I have ever seen in a forum, and the moderator is not dealing with it, and that is you. And it is not hard to understand why you are not dealing with it, because you are doing many of the same things; nitpicking, argumentative, abusive, bullying, and to top it off, not knowlegeable. Again what are your qualifications? Do you have any? Again, I repeat that people come to forums for help not to be insulted. I wonder what Elizabeth Hamilton, the customer service manager of cpap.com thinks of a forum they host where prospective new customers come for help, only to be insulted and bullied by not only by trolls, but by the moderator.

Hey Ron -- you wouldn't be having a problem here if you had any idea what you are talking about. But, when you say something that is completely wrong, especially something that could harm a new person who comes here knowing nothing about this therapy, the knowledgeable people here will jump on you real fast! Do you not understand how wrong information could harm a person? I'm sure Elizabeth Hamilton wouldn't want anyone to be mislead. Sleep apnea is serious and needs to be addressed with facts. In fact, it would be great if she comes here and reads. She'll find out fast whose facts are the true facts.

One last time....I don't have to cite qualifications for anything to you or anyone else for that matter ...and you get no more that what I said above. Don't like it...well, I can't help that.

The only remotely insulting thing I said to you was "your don't have a frigging clue" ...and it's the truth...you don't and I am not the first to say it and I am pretty sure I won't be the last.

You've just now proven the "only wants to argue" comment and that was a discussion I was having with someone else...which I am free to do. I get to voice my thoughts just like everyone else does....good, bad or indifferent. It's something that is critical to the forum owner here...freedom of speech.

I didn't call you any names. I didn't say you were a stupid idiot. I didn't attack you personally unless you count comparing you to the alphabet boy an attack...and even then it doesn't violate the user agreement terms here. I will admit it wasn't a compliment.
What I said was "you don't have an effing clue" and I am betting no one here will argue with me about that statement.
Making that statement doesn't violate any of the user agreement terms.

Oh...don't go throwing this crap around...

won't hold much water because it was Elizabeth's BOSSES who ASKED me to be moderator here and after being here 9 years...they pretty much know me pretty well. I do speak my mind but actually compared to a lot of the others.. I am the mild mannered one here.
The forum owners...knew exactly what they were getting with me...and they also know it takes a LOT to rile me up.

I am not bullying...I am stating the facts. You are free to say what you want but when someone...anyone...disagrees with you ...they have the same right to say what they feel about what you said. Cold hard fact of life.

And as for this little dig...

I am still laughing my ass off on that one. I won't even dignify that with a response except....

I am not asking you to leave the forum...but you might be happier over on the apneaboard..might suit your personality better.
You have just gone and stirred up a hornets nest and it's not me that will be stinging you.

And with that folks...I am done sparring with this yahoo. I will confine further comments to more of the "you are so wrong" type of comment assuming someone doesn't beat me to it when wrong information gets posted.
I have more important stuff to do than waste my time with another alphabet wanna be boy who thinks he knows it all but really doesn't know much at all and won't listen.

Carry on folks..this thread has gone to hell anyway and since the machine was sold..not needed.
I am outta this thread.

One last time....
Carry on. You are only digging yourself deeper into the hole. By the way I am Canadian, not Australian. In Canada we play hockey, and when someone drops the gloves it is customary to drop the gloves also. You dropped the gloves, and now you are finding out what a real fight is. I was happy to just put you on the ignore list with the rest of the argumentative trolls here, but I can't because you are a moderator. I will put the gloves back on just as soon as you stop insulting me. But if you insult me, or falsely accuse me of not being factual or honest, the gloves are off again. It is your choice. You can take the easy way out and ban me, or you can start acting like a real moderator. And for your information, that is someone that is empathetic, non critical, constructive, helpful, and not argumentative. And it certainly is not someone who insults people.
