I still believe you may be blocking the CO2 vent somehow either positionally or with bedding, etc, which is why I suggested the collar... have you explored that any further?

Okay, filled out my equipment profile. My CPAP machine and supplies are mostly not on the list. I have a ResMed CPAP machine and ResMed heated humidifier. I use a heated coil tubing. I make sure all my supplies are up to date.

Hoping this helps :)

I have a short neck with small Goiter, but I will consider purchasing one from Walgreens and play around with it. I did check it out online. I see there are various kinds of sizes and shapes too, which shape do you recommend? There is a chin strap that Lincare recommended. They initially gave me one but it was too small, they will be sending me a larger size. That is mostly to keep my mouth shut, but will not serve the purpose the collar would. Last night I slept without the CPAP and I woke up feeling just wonderful. However, my throat was a little sore, so I probably snored last night. Waiting to hear from my sleep doc. I do feel insecure without using the CPAP machine, but I don't like the way I feel the morning after using my CPAP. I wish I could video myself sleeping to see what's going on while wearing the CPAP.

Thank you for your response Julie :)

ResMed equipment is indeed an option in the equipment drop down menu but it just doesn't mention "ResMed"...instead it goes by the model name.

If you are unsure....look on the blower for the model number and post it here and then we can tell you which choice to make.

Here is the brand of foam cervical collar (DMI) that I use - https://www.walmart.com/search/?query=d ... r&cat_id=0

Along with CPAP, I've worn one every night for years. They serve two purposes - 1) Hold the neck in the best position for maintaining an open airway, and 2) Help to prevent the jaw from dropping and consequently the mouth from opening. (It's unclear why Julie recommended it to you.)

They come in different widths which should be chosen based on the length of the neck. There is no sizing guide, so you might have to pick a size and try it. If the size doesn't work, you can try a different size. They also come in "firm" and "soft". I prefer the firm, but others like soft. Fortunately, they are cheap.

You need a soft cervical collar that will keep your head up, your 'pillows' and CO2 vent free of bedding etc, and your airway more open, not to mention jaws (if not lips) more closed. Google it (the 'soft' is important - many use those here).
You should learn that the correct terminology is foam cervical collar not soft cervical collar. "Soft" and "firm" refer to the relative resistance to force of the foam collars.

Okay, I found on the bottom of the CPAP the name AirSense10. But the humidifier comes with it, it's not separate, so cannot fill out the type of humidifier. Also, how do I find out the software?

Entered the AirSense10 to the profile. Thanks for your help :)

Double check something. Look on the front of the machine where it says AirSense 10. Underneath these letters, does it say CPAP, Elite, AutoSet or AutoSet for Her?

When was the last time you cleaned the vents on your P10? what pressure do you use?

If the OP is using the P10, it would be very difficult to block the vents, however, the vents could easily be clogged up if they haven't been cleaned adequately.

Where are the vents so I can check?
