I, for one, did not have any troubling symptoms that I noticed before hand. I am more productive after treatment than I think I would have been. I also snored, and my wife noticed I stopped breathing.

Re: Heated tubing? Heated humidifier?
Just to be different, I do fine with the humidifier but no heated hose. Heated hose is probably convenient if you like high humidity and keep your bedroom quite cool. Otherwise, non heated hoses are simpler, cheaper, and use less power. Power savings is important if you ever run on batteries, but yo...

I had the latch fail on one. Now I keep a spare on hand, and I don't unlatch the lid as often as I used to.

Re: How do I open my machine?
The power surge could have fried the electronics, it's jot likely you can fix it. Do you have homeowners insurance? You might be able to submit a claim for the loss of the machine.

Last I checked, 7 is between 5 and 20. You did good, and I bet the doctor is actually fine with it. How is your typical 90% pressure, higher than 7?

Re: ResMed Air Sense 10 Air "backwash"
Big kudos for getting started on CPAP! I hope it is helpful for you. It is a learning experience, you should get better at sleeping with it as time goes on. Your numbers are great. Many of you do not bother with the ramp once we are used to using the machine, so you could consider raising the ramp m...

Is the ramp feature starting you at a lower pressure? If so, disable it.

Re: Choosing a Battery
I came across a diehard 1150 portable power pack today at Sears for about $140. At its heart is a 22Ah AGM deep cycle battery, so it's a reasonable source for CPAP for a limited time. It's a bit more expensive and has less power than a 35Ah battery, but it looks like a turnkey system. It has a coupl...

I have lots of software on the 777 and 787 too. I've flown on 777, but never a 787. Both are awesome aircraft.

I also have a 560p, about 4 years old, about 10,000 hours, and just bought an exact replacement from directhomemedical.com for a good price, but I had to exchange once under warranty because of noise. I am thinking about refurbishing the old one. They are easy to disassemble, and seal and blower par...

Re: How do I connect alligator clips to an AGM battery for CPAP?
I would probably make up some cables that attach to the battery with screws and nuts, but I am an engineer, so I'm comfortable doing stuff like that. I'm not sure I've seen commercially available cables that would work. If such things are not in your skill set, maybe an electrician, mechanic, or hob...

Re: Switching to new machine
Fast forward to today... a few weeks ago I finally caved and returned the new unit under warranty, it was just plain noisey. It had a low frequency whine that followed the blower speed. I paid a reasonable shipping charge, and yesterday I received another brand new unit, with case, power supply, and...

Re: Having trouble exhaling
What are your pressure settings, and are you using a ramp feature? Unless your pressure is really high, it's a matter of just getting used to it. You could use a ramp to start at a little less pressure formthe first few minutes.

Hi, welcome,
The centrals may not be real, they may be logged while you are not actually be sleeping. Give it some time, you will get better at sleeping with the mask on.
