I believe you guys and have hope in what you say. I'll wait, I'm just worried he'll brush off the results of the sleep test and move on to making me take more and more tests for stuff when a solution could possibly be found on the spot there. Idk if he'll even care that I had half the regular REM sleep and on average woke up almost 5 times an hour in the small time I slept. Hopefully I can get the full report though no matter what and show you guys. Btw I wanted to ask is teeth grinding and flow limitation shown in the graph data of the full study? The sleep tech told me it'd all be recorded but especially with something like UARS info of stuff like that could apparently help so I was curious if it'd be included on the full report. Thanks again guys, I'll take your advice.

I have to agree with Julie on this one: my results weren’t what I expected, nor my doctor (regular one) but it does factor in.

In my case, I don’t qualify as having OSA because AHI is so low, but RDI with the other symptoms qualified for coverage: still not 100% certain this machine can get me to sleep through the night, but if not, because I’m doing it through insurance rules (requires rental) if this machine falls short, nothing really lost, return this and get a different machine with knowledge of “Well, we know THAT doesn’t work, NEXT!”

Even though I haven’t been able to sleep much more than a single sleep cycle without waking up fully, it’s clearly been helping my health and how I feel. It would have been extremely unpleasant had I gotten one used and found it didn’t work for my situation and I need to spend more while now having an extra machine around that doesn’t help.

Admittedly, I don’t have nearly that tight of a budget, thankfully, which is a darn good thing, because masks eat that up quickly by themselves, and those are higher risk of not working and needing to try several: since it’s hard to buy them without a prescription where you also would be able to return them, you might eat up over $500 without finding a working mask through channels that don’t require a prescription first. If you can’t get a good enough seal on a mask, the machine doesn’t matter, it’s just become an expensive duster.
And hopefully that machine works miracles for you and lets you feel better soon

I think I want to attempt to treat myself. With varying results from different tests and such long waits from doctors who don't seem to take this stuff seriously, I just want to try and see if by chance, CPAP can help. I can share any information needed for you guys to help me find where, how, and which machine to get. My budget is kind of low hut I think I can spend a highest of 500. Again thanks for everything, I'm just so tired of feeling like utter shit all day everyday and want to see if I can try and at least see if this is a solution.
I'd suggest getting an autoset from one of the people selling 'em here.. If it turns out to not be the machine you need, you can turn around and sell it, and not be out much (if any) money on it.

Thanks, as imperfect as things are now, I already feel notably better, even with waking up wide awake about every 90 minutes: I’m at least not suffocating (relatively mild desats compared to many, but it adds up) and having adrenaline and stress hormones flooding through me every night. That’s even with the fact I don’t get in 8 hours of sleep total, often not being able to fall back asleep immediately.

Based on results thus far, compliance is easy: I only wish I had more time to stay in bed now because I feel decent and it’s relaxing, instead of doing my damnedest to eek out some recovery while lying there, dreading every disruption (nerves totally on edge).

Finally had the follow up with the neurologist who referred me to the lab study. He didn't seem to know much besides how the home study I took conflicted with the lab study in which I had much greater reduced efficiency and reduced rem sleep and other things like that. He essentially said this is out of his realm of expertise and he'll try to get a sleep specialist to interpret some for him in the coming months, so not much insight. I'm going to try to try out PAP therapy just to see if it changes anything as I need help currently. I'm going to read your guys' prior recommendations thoroughly before making a choice. Any further info you need in order to decide on a good PAP machine I can provide. Please let me know if any users have one for sale at any time. I'm completely new to this so anything will help. Thanks a lot and I can't wait to, in any case, feel better.

Resmed s9 or airsense 10 autoset is the best for most people.

Without more data, ya can't know more.

True true, if this was something say like UARS, would the autoset be good as well? Not sure if there's a model of PAP that specifically UARS patients use or have good luck with. Thanks for all the help again it's greatly appreciated
