So I take it nobody has any input on the Dream Mapper app issue?
Oh, there is lots of input to be found here... just not the input you are looking for. You won't give information that is asked for yet you want 'help'... rather strange, don't you think.

Ah, I see...

So I have offended you guys by not being a "believer"

It may surprise you to find out that there are a lot of nonbelievers out here.

Ask yourself this: when was the last time your Dr had to force compliance for an antibiotics prescription? Heck, we can't even get the crazy cat lady up the street to take her anti koo koo meds.

Yet for some reason now that there is plenty of money to be made, there is suddenly this terrible affliction that kills 400,000 people every 10 seconds and if someone does not buy and use this new gizmo then they are basically a murderer?

Ummm... how about no...

If you own a toaster and want to make Eggo waffles in it thats fine with me. I make toast in mine but I am nit going to try to get all high and mighty about it. Your machine, not my concern.

If you guys want to prioritiize sleeping with the CPAP thats fine by me. I do not need to sleep with it, I just need to wear it.

You're an idiot ... I sure like to have a machine that helps breathe when I am not able to .. I also like the fact that if it wasn't for this machine I would still be waking up every hour in extreme panic and fear because I have stopped breathing and almost choked to death in my sleep.. yeah totally fake, nothing real about this *sarcasm , *face palm

Who I am complying to is not relevant. Again, it is my machine and nobody is going to bust me.

It is not insurance, it is not my employer and it is not you.

For this instance, compliance is important, sleeping with CPAP is not.
"compliance" means sleeping with the cpap... whatever horse crap you're doing, it's not even remotely related to 'compliance'.

Such that, as I mentioned, I do not want to waste noncompliance days to chance. Again, for my needs compliace is wearing it, sleeping or not has no relevance. I do try on my off days but still end up making time in the mornings which is not an option on work days.
That's a steaming pile of what comes out the back end of a bull...

Ah Pale Rider, I can see that you missed your true calling in life. You would have made a fine Iranian cleric. I would stick to your house now though, otherwise you might come into contact with potentially dangerous non-CPAP users all of whom could potentially be covered in dangerous germs...

Image
"Look at them, they are all covered in filthy germs aren't they Smithers?"

@BTS if that was my reality, I would probably be happy to sleep with a CPAP as well. It is not my reality, in fact I do not currently have sleep apnea, this short spurt from the Doc (who is a long time friend) is intended mostly to motivate me to change to a healthier lifestyle so as to not end up with sleep apnea. Puffing at this thing for 4 hours a day certainly has done a fine job of that. If you did not NEED Kidney dialysis but had to show up and sit in a chair there for 4 hours per day you would probably not be eager to actually get the "benefit" of dialysis any more than I am eager to get the "benefit" of CPAP. As I said, for me, compliance is 4 hours mask on. If I sleep with it, I risk the -mask coming off in my sleep which means a day of non-compliance which again means one fewer day sleeping where I want to sleep at anchor relaxing on my sailboat. I am already frittering away half the pleasant days of the year with this experiment and by the time this is over Hurricane season will be on us which means I cannot travel across to the Bahamas this year since by the time the season ends I no longer have a long enough window of time to use all my vacation.

It is well worth pointing out in general that you are quite unlikely to brow beat people into using this sort of stuff. CPAP has a poor reputation in the broader community and I will point out that NOT ONE PERSON I talked to about CPAP had anything encouraging or positive to say about the experience. NOT ONE. Nobody said I would sleep better, nobody said I would be more rested, nobody said anything positive at all. When my colleagues at work heard about it, they bought me a Keurig for my desk and as I pointed out we have to bring it up every morning at our safety brief. Much like Iranian clerics have poor results changing behavior in the west with their fatwas, shrill screeching and name calling will not likely yield positive results here. Having dug through here a bit now and looked at a few threads where you guys have decided to go the name calling route, I have to wonder if any of you think that your tactics have changed ANYONEs minds? I am pretty certain that most of the folks who get a negative response on here just end up quitting.

I am not quitting, I will do my huff and puff till the appointed date then donate this thing to someone who actually needs it.

It's better to sleep four hours with the machine than five without. Besides, it should not take more than twenty minutes extra to set up the machine at night, remove and wash the mask (at least the part that directly touches your face) in the morning.

Thankfully, you seem to be "compliant" from an insurance point of view.

You want to try Sleepyhead and see if reports anything different (I suspect it won't).

So......I guess you didn't read the first response (mine) to your question?

My Dreamstation info and app match exactly. No issues.

These numbers do not match... Hence the question.

Again, fine work having a civil discussion with someone you do not agree with.

Mine would accurately reflect time at 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, and then at about 3.5 it stopped.... then starts again, as I said at about 5 - 5.5 hours. The data on the card seems to be correct and the app claimed to be updating with new data but the usage time would not change.

If this is not a known bug that there is a fix for or just something that nobody else cares about then like I said, it is no prob to just take the card in when the time comes. Like I said, I am not //really// under the gun for compliance with anyone in particular it's just important to me and one other person.

Again, I am not "faking it"

I need to wear the mask 4 hours per day 80% of the time.

//End of requirements//

You guys may have different needs, rules, etc. I do not.

No insurance company...

No work requirements...

Just me...

You guys are starting to sound like my Aunt who is a substance abuse councilor and insists that everyone is an alcoholic. In particular those of us who do not drink alcohol. Admitting that you have a problem is the first step!
