Free APAP for someone without insurance

Post by JZ » Sun Apr 22, 2018 4:11 pm

I have a used S8 ResMed AutoSet machine that I no longer use. I would be glad to send it to someone who needs a machine and does not have insurance. I retired it in November of 2013 and it has been sitting unused since then. The machine has 8,840 blower hours on it, and comes with a heated humidifier and a carrying case. You can find specs on it at cpap.com at:

https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... chine.html

This is a good machine that still works perfectly. The only reason I retired it was because I wanted an S9. Nothing wrong with the S8. PM me if you are interested.

Nope...won't work for you in several ways...first one it isn't ASV and I have a feeling that is what you are going to get spoiled for.
The other is it needs that special Smart Card..and a special card reader...and it only works with ResScan. Not SH compatible.
Would make an excellent back up machine for someone though and there is some data on the LCD screen that would probably be enough for someone half way experienced in cpap or wanting a back up or travel machine.

Perhaps send it to Pugsy for distribution as needed?
Just a thought...

Actually I prefer direct sending if at all possible and I bet someone will want it.
Sending to me just delays it and creates another middleman.
Unless of course the donor just doesn't want the hassle.

Bump this thread for a couple of days (if it lasts that long) and if no interest then we can talk about sending to me.

Bumping...

You are right, Barb. It would probably be a pain to get full data from it. I just used the limited data from the LCD screen plus how I felt in terms of lack of OSA symptoms.

We'll see if anyone needs it over the next couple of days.

It's because of the search I did to find it but if you scroll up to the top of the thread where I posted the free machine is offered.

I screwed up...posted in the wrong thread...dumb ass rookie move.

Let me go fix things somehow.
