has a live video cam in Florida facing an Eagle nest. One egg is hatching and one just hatched. Amazing.

I have followed it for 2 seasons (years). Mama is Harriet. Her mate Ozzie passed away last year. She now has a new mate and 2 babies. Her new mate is younger and needs to be shown how to care for the babies and nest. Wait till the eaglets are bigger and are taught how to hop and stretch their wings. You will see fish being brought to the nest.

Back in the fall, I went out one evening (still light) and looked up - there were two of them making slow circles right over this place, if high up, and they stuck around for a while... of course they love fish and the ocean's 20 mins away. Watched a local Osprey live cam a few yrs ago...

I've been watching the eagle cam. It looks like survival of the fittest. One of the eaglets is clearly a bully.

Hi Cardsfan if you're there - wanted to thank you again for the eagle cam link because I'm so addicted now... spend hours daily watching the thing and now think one of the 'babies' (6' wingspan!) may leave the tree to fly for the first time today... I have things to do but I'm stuck here watching!

I enjoy the eagle cam. Did you see when one of the eaglets had fishing twine around his foot? OMG the animal rescue folks took him out of the nest, gave him physical therapy for a few days, and put him back. Saved his little life.

You have no idea! There have been times that if someone had been here I would have been committed for sure - yelling at the computer so the cat thought I'd lost it - which I had - because the cams weren't tracking well when babies got too close to the edge, etc... I mean who has pet eagles? But they feel like that now after 2 1/2 mos of being glued here... don't know if I'll do it again though once these two are gone... anxiety level just too high!

Is anyone still watching this eagle cam? Lots of drama in the last three weeks. Mom Harriet disappeared. Rogue female is courting the dad, who has two eaglets still to raise. Mother Nature at her finest.

Still watching... just wish R23 had more motherly tendencies, and not just be interested in Dad.

I wonder what the survival rates are for birds with stepmothers.
Maybe not ideal.

Some viewer got worried about the eaglets starving and ordered Doordash delivery. The delivery person was cautioned not to violate Federal law by intervening in the survival of the fittest among eagles, and was run off.

I agree with Julie that R23-3 (yes, there’s been 3 Rogue females this year) would feed the eaglets equally.
