Saw my pulmonologist this week - she says that her patients have received their Trilogy replacement machines. I have not, and when I asked my DME they said they haven't received anything from Philips.
When I login to Philips website it only says that the DME will let me know when my machine comes in.
I don't have a lot of faith in my DME to be on top of this So I'm curious if anyone else has received theirs?
Thanks!
Have you received replacement Trilogy yet?

Re: Have you received replacement Trilogy yet?
No, I just get generic "updates" every few months about how their foam doesn't actually cause cancer. Surely the studies are unbiased. Surely.
Philips Respironics is a trash company. I registered my Trilogy 100 essentially right when the recall news came out. If you can't replace a life saving ventilator in a year, I will never buy one of your products again.
They don't care, because it's not like the user has a choice whether to use their ventilator. They know that people will risk potentially getting ill from foam particles over not using their device and ending up in the hospital.
Or maybe they just want everyone to "upgrade" to the expensive Trilogy Evo, a device which makes it impossible for a user to monitor their data. It doesn't use DirectView software, you can only see the data if you are a physician and have access to their cloud based software.
In sum: F*** you Philips Respironics

No, it doesn't cause cancer. It's just one exposure. Many exposures are required to induce cancer.raisedfist wrote: ↑Sat Aug 13, 2022 7:53 amNo, I just get generic "updates" every few months about how their foam doesn't actually cause cancer. Surely the studies are unbiased. Surely.
Respironics makes inferior machines, is poorly managed, and doesn't serve the patients' best interests. But their machines don't cause cancer.Release of volatile organic compounds (VOC) including Dimethyl diazene and Phenol. Evidence suggests these gases dissipate after 24 hours from first ‘out of box’ use.
