Re: Mouthpiece for centrals???

2K for a positioner is extremely expensive. The price should be $400-800. Seriously. I live in a resort town full of rich folks and they're around $600. What are you calling a "positioner"? Typically, doctors will prescribe a custom-made Mandibular Advancement Device (MAD). These run $1500+. It's n...

Re: New CPAP user serious Issue with feelings of depression and anxiety

You are doing well with the weight loss! Way to go! I think topiramate can make your potassium levels low and maybe magnesium too. I totally agree that your body will change when you finally get proper rest- and it will change as you lose weight. You may need to adjust your meds/supplements. Did you...

Re: Mouthpiece for centrals???

I have had 2 different sleep drs. I have had to remind each of them once (and not as a new pt) that I have central apnea, not obstructive! Perhaps your dr. forgot you were a centrals patient. One of the drs (who I no longer see) absolutely insisted that I have a new sleep study because I had gained ...

Re: Question for ASV users

Welcome. I’ve been on resmed asv adapt for 5 years, and got an air curve 10 this fall. I never used anything else. I didn’t have any trouble whatsoever getting used to it-save the mask search. I have never been woken up by the pressures. Only mask leaks.

palerider-
Those are good ideas.
Unfortunately I did check pinning and cloning. Tried pinning, then unpinning, same with clone. Didn't work. Did it twice because that's the kind of gal I am. You know, keep trying things until you get the results you want.

Need help removing duplicate graph from Sleepyhead

Hi All! I'm making reports for my sleep dr appointment tomorrow. One day's report that I want to give him has Flow Rate - Entire Day's Flow Waveform, then Flow Rate- Current Selection. I would like to remove the Flow Rate- Current Selection graph. My other days don't do that. I've been trying almost...

Re: Central apnea...moving to sea level

So I have CSA. I live at 6,2xx’. Lived here 32 years. I also use 5lpm nighttime supplemental o2. I started paping in 2014. Added o2 in 2016. Years Prior to diagnosis, I had noticed how tired and groggy I feel at sea level. My best guess was super saturated o2. I have never missed a night on my machi...

Re: need suggestions for fragrance free soap to wash equipment

I’m not familiar with Burt’s Bees, but a qt of Bronners will last a lifetime. I use about 1/4 teaspoon in a sink of warm water to wash my pap things. For washing my body, about 1/2 teaspoon total. Their flip top lets out too much soap at once. I put it in a repurposed lotion bottle (that dispensed a...

Re: need suggestions for fragrance free soap to wash equipment

Dr Bronners unscented baby liquid soap. Dr Bronners Sal suds may be ok, but it does have a little scent. F5458B05-86BE-4CE8-A49B-859EAC008EC2.jpeg I buy at my local natural food market, but target and Cvs carries it too- in the natural cosmetics section. Target also sells travel sizes, but I don’t k...

Re: RemZzzs vs. Silent Night FM Liners - Preference?

I used the remzzz for over a year. They were always moving around under my mask, and would either move up and cover my mouth, or move down over my nose. I was repositioning it constantly. I have been using the silent nights for a couple years. They stay in place, and I really like not having to futz...

Re: CPAP and Neurogenic Cough

I have neurogenic cough, too. I get coughing fits so bad that I throw up. Also broke a rib once (drs refused to believe me/X-ray. Yes, they flat out refused even a X-ray. After 4 months of bad pain a nuclear bone scan showed a total break, no apologies from the er or gp) Anything will set me off, an...
