Re: Use Any Mask with your AirMini
Here's a reference to a thread I started a while ago that might explain the issues I had with the noise from the Airmini: http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=172660&p=1264551 Ah yes, sorry. This is in the wrong thread. I actually got the specs for the 3D adapter from you and that thread. Th...

Re: Use Any Mask with your AirMini
I got the 3D printed adapter referenced above the other day, so hooked it up to an AirMini with the AirMini hose connected to my Dreamwear Nasal mask and, hearing that the AirMini was silent, I put the mask on with great anticipation. Happily, it was quieter than with the freaking loud HumidX, but ...

Re: Reduce noise on Airmini and use any mask
Hello I had a friend print this for me from the posted link on thingyverse and it will not fit into my AirMini.... is there a trick to make it fit? or to make it print differently?? I can try to sandpaper it down but then I was worried about the inside pieces lining up? Any thoughts or tips would b...

Re: Use Any Mask with your AirMini
I am looking for an adapter that INCLUDES the HumidX, meaning an adapter at the mask end. Is there anything like that? I want to use it with my Dreamwear Nasal mask. Basically, if you want to connect any standard mask to a AirMini, you wont be able to use HumidX humidifcation. The approach I...

I am looking for an adapter that INCLUDES the HumidX, meaning an adapter at the mask end. Is there anything like that? I want to use it with my Dreamwear Nasal mask. The HumidX approach relies on none of the water vapour in the exhaled being lost . If you connect a standard mask of any type to the ...

Re: Reduce noise on Airmini and use any mask
Sorry, I am rather new to CPAP. The heading mentions AirMini. What is a “normal CPAP tube?” And how do I connect the mask that came with my AirMini to this Qtube? Thanks! I'm new too and am having EXACTLY the same issue! I have my Qtube and the adapter, but we're scratching our heads as to how to c...

Re: Reduce noise on Airmini and use any mask
So I've gone ahead and ordered it using one of the 3D print services available through Thingiverse. I've also ordered QTube and hope this all works out as I really like the travel size of this machine. Thanks It does reduce the noise to an acceptable level that I could fall asleep. It's still not a...

Re: Reduce noise on Airmini and use any mask
How do I go about ordering this connector? Also, is the QTube you attached the same one that is used for the Z1 machine? I believe that's the only one available? I just need to know which parts I need to get and where to purchase them from as the noise coming from the humidex fitting is driving me ...

Re: Use Any Mask with your AirMini
I recently started using CPAP a few months ago. I currently use a Resmed Air Sense 10 at home with a Resmed N20 nasal mask. When I started, I was using a Resmed AirFit F20 full face mask but didn’t like the fit. I much prefer the nasal mask. I purchased the AirMini for travel and like the machine. ...

Reduce noise on Airmini and use any mask
I'm using an AirSense 10 at home and wanted a travel CPAP machine. Without reading the forums, I decided to purchase the Airmini based on its size and portability. I was disappointed when I discovered it to be noisier than the AirSense 10. I found this forum and read that the noise was coming from t...

Re: Use Any Mask with your AirMini
Decreased airflow would be a concern with the reduced cross section of open space across the channels. I would certainly run a pressure test on both sides of your printed adaptor, as good laminar design would have smooth, THIN walls. As the setup with the Qtube muffler is working for me, I'll be re...

Re: Use Any Mask with your AirMini
I think I've reduced the noise as much as I could using the laminar airflow connector. It's not perfect but I definitely noticed a difference. Once my Qtube muffler arrives, I will conduct a test to compare which one is quieter and report back. Very cool. I'll be interested to know what the objecti...
