Re: Help with therapy on Dreamstation BiLevel S/T

Thanks for some reason your old posts I can't see the uploaded images anymore. Ooops....they were there last night but looks like she moved them or removed links or something. I saw them last yesterday. Sorry - I removed them figuring I needed the room for the new attachments. How much space am I a...

Re: Help with therapy on Dreamstation BiLevel S/T

OSCAR may not play nice with this model either...which is why I wanted all settings as shown from the machine setup menu. Statistics look weird and nothing near what reported settings were. Sigh.... I have a monumental headache right now...what with all the smoke coming out of my ears and now this....

What settings did you use last night and the night before?
Get them off the machine...not OSCAR.
Is it a St, or an avaps like Oscar says? (Ie, Oscar bugs on machine type?)

The varying ipap doesn't look st like.
It's supposed to be ST. I'll get images from the machine itself. Thanks

Re: Help with therapy on Dreamstation BiLevel S/T

Back to the OP - have you ever used a CPAP by chance? I wonder how you'd do with an APAP. Or even the VAuto with moderate PS of say 2-4 for comfort reasons. Hi, Yes - on a Dreamstation Auto CPAP for the last 18 months and a F&P brick for 5 years before that. Never got quality sleep although I took ...

Re: Help with therapy on Dreamstation BiLevel S/T

As promised, here are the OSCAR screenshots.

Was so exhausted night before last that I slept for 7 hours without waking up! Made it just over 4 hours last night, but that was a good 30 minutes of awake time to make it to compliance.

Many thanks.

Re: Help with therapy on Dreamstation BiLevel S/T

Thanks for the spirited discussion all! I've got a few nights of OSCAR data. Sleepyhead does not support this machine. Which of the following graphs would be most useful for viewing? I can prob fit about five. Leaks are atrocious - time over leak redline was 106.4% last night Event Flag Flow Rate Pr...

Help with therapy on Dreamstation BiLevel S/T

I'm stuck with an ST for at least a month (thank you doctor) and with the Dreamstation line (thank you poverty and the local Medicare DMEs). No diss on Dreamstation, but I wanted ResMed. I'm miserable. It's set at 26/16 with back up rate of 10. I have to keep using the max ramp feature to get to sle...

Medicare Questions - Bi-level and ASV

Are the Medicare reimbursement codes for bi-level and ASV the same? I know that the code for bi-level auto and S/T is the same, just wasn't sure about the ASV. Also, is there any requirement that you know of with Medicare that requires someone with mostly centrals to 'fail' on bi-level S/T before mo...

Re: The Mask Exchange - A Place to trade masks

I have a Amara View full face mask (head gear, mask, cushions), factory sealed, in small. Happy to trade for any other full face mask. I also have a open, used once Amara View full face in small, head gear & mask and a new, sealed cushion. I'm pretty happy with the Amara, and maybe I shouldn't borro...

Re: DME questioned manufacturer's commitment to warranty - justified?

Well, it took a lot of phone work, and I will have to drive 90 miles round trip to take delivery, but I've found a certified DME willing to order the AirCurve 10 VAuto and take assignment of Medicare so I don't have to pay up front. Keeping fingers crossed :) Thank you everyone. I'm sure I'll be loo...

Re: DME questioned manufacturer's commitment to warranty - justified?

Thank you everyone. Your experiences have helped me put my feelings in context. I should have said that the bad taste in my mouth wasn't for the bi-level, it was for the DME for saying what they did. I expect it is that they don't want to settle for a smaller profit margin. Their choice, I just hate...

DME questioned manufacturer's commitment to warranty - justified?

Just got off the phone with the DME I've used for ~ 18 months regarding an order for a new bi-level. For context, I'm on Medicare with a private supplement and been with this DME since after my 1st CPAP, a 5-year old F&P Icon brick, died in 2017. They gave me a Dreamstation Auto Cpap and I went away...
