Re: EVIDENCE OF AIRFIT P10 VENT OBSTRUCTION CAUSING HYPERCAPNIA (also N30?)
Last thing Mr. Nosey - just as long as we're here - was there a reason you titled your note ALL IN CAPS? I must assume since you are a doctor (aren't you?) that you use the internet a lot, and have done so for years, so... why haven't you yet learned that Caps signifies yelling at people? Or was th...

Re: EVIDENCE OF AIRFIT P10 VENT OBSTRUCTION CAUSING HYPERCAPNIA (also N30?)
Well....as someone who used the P10 for many years with a very high humidity setting and rarely cleans anything and used the same frame/filter for years without replacing anything but the pillow or headgear... I have never ever experienced what you experienced. So while you have a problem, not ever...

EVIDENCE OF AIRFIT P10 VENT OBSTRUCTION CAUSING HYPERCAPNIA (also N30?)
Awhile back, I posted about problems with my Resmed p10 mask, where I'd experienced a shortness of breath after using the mask for a few months. http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t174159/Problems-with-airflow-for-Resmed-P10.html I followed up by routinely cleaning the vent, but found with time (or e...

Re: Is the AirMini worth it?
Nice size, weight and love the AUTO on (when inhaling). However, I found it too noisy for me even when using earplugs (which is due to sound transduction via the mask). YMMV (as luckily has been the case for many people). Myself? Just say no...to the mini, the Transcend and the Z1 = all too noisy fo...

Re: Medical Marijuana
Some of our oldest and most effective medicines have evolved from "snake oil". Simple aspirin was developed after observing indigenous people using willow bark tea for pain. Yes, I'm well aware of many of the legacy snake oil products and how some were established as efficacious/grounded in science...

Re: Request advice regarding nasal pillows
I had been using a variety of pillow masks, with the P10, Aloha, FX, LT and Nuance being my "go to" masks...until I tried the Resmed N30 nasal mask (NOT to be confused with the N30i). I recommend trying the P10..or make the leap to the N30 nasal mask, which I like due to fit (I've never had any leak...

Re: ResMed P10 Headgear Upgrade from N30
I was a huge P10 fan..was my "go to" mask for many months. Now I use the N30...easily my favorite CPAP mask (and I've tried plenty the past 20 years).

Re: I feel stupid, can no longer focus and my memory is simply terrible.
Thank you all for your answers, I thoroughly appreciate them. Your symptoms may or might not be due to sleep apnea, though little doubt your apnea could be contributing to the way you are currently feeling. Might be useful to know your age and family history, especially as relates to cognitive issu...

Re: Resmed mini Darth Vader mask!!
The sound doesn’t bother me, but if I sleep with ear plugs (my wife streams videos on her phone sometimes when she can’t sleep), I sleep much better. I sleep with ear plugs, so the noise of the diffuser/exhaust on the Airmini doesn't impact me. However, the breathing/inhaling noise coming from insi...

Resmed N30 mask - a big thumbs up!
I'm a Resmed P10 mask user. Also, occasionally use the Swift LT, Nuance and the Aloha nasal pillow masks. Bought the Resmed N30 last week ($64 for complete kit at Amazon) because it is a nasal mask that does not touch the nose bridge. To my surprise, I've found it to be the best mask I've used so fa...

Re: Medical Marijuana
I need to revise what I said earlier on the subject. In Nevada where rec was legal it did not help and I had tried topicals as well as tinctures. Here where it is medicinal only, it worked much better for me. There is a tincture that is formulated by a doctor that incorporates cbd, thc as well as b...

Re: Blue Cross Alabama
I had BCBS Alabama and used it for the purchase of one CPAP machine and mask..however, the yearly out-of-pocket amount is a joke, so did not go that route for the next year. Instead, I look to the large discounts that occur at the end of the year, when CPAP equipment suppliers are hustling to captur...
