Anyone that would like to contribute to OSCAR, please PM me (bonjour) over on Apnea Board http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/index.php. We can always use C++ / QT developers, Testers, and Translators for languages we do not yet have covered.

I assume that this means that failing to switch over means we will be running an unsupported product which may or may not continue to run.
*ROFL* Sleepyhead has been "unsupported" for pretty much ever.

The only 'support' that has ever existed with sleepyhead was that there would usually be a new version that came out when there were new machines released.

I know there was a day that mark was mentioning shutting down sleepyhead as he saw something like this happening and he was losing control of sleepyhead.
You have that all backwards, the only reason there's a fork and a new program is *because* Mr Watkins had already announced that he had shut down sleepyhead development.

but I think there were some issues with some code and mark wanted to go one way, others wanted to go another etc ?
No, that is wrong too.

Apparently he closed it in error but needed to wait 30 days to be able to reopen it.

I was going to wait for the initial release of OSCAR to ask for suggestions. But I'll start a thread with that title in a few minutes.

Why the delay? Because we realized it was very important to provide a Migration from SleepyHead to OSCAR.
We want this to occur smoothly and easily for all of our users, not just the tech geeks.
Question on this migration. Will OSCAR data remain compatible with SleepyHead for the near term? Or will I need to import into both softwares if I choose to use both?

Sorry - a low score for creativity here. ;) Honestly, because of the timing of this thread posting, I thought it was related to that fiasco in Hollywood where all the beautiful people pat each other on the back every year.

Just curious... is there an "sign-up" list for receiving email notifications when OSCAR software updates are released? If not, I'll just add reminders to my calendar and periodically check back.
